Not sure yet. Seller has only responded once agreeing to price of the machine. She is checking into shipping costs. She has not responded to questions about more pictures or whether the machine is working or not. This one is definitely still up in the air. I will certainly keep everyone posted as I know more.

I have found that sellers tend to be more agreeable with long distance sales if you take the burden of shipping off them. When negotiating a sale, I only request them to drop the machine off at a shipping facility most convenient to them, and that I will contact that shipper and make all of the arrangements including payment. I keep in mind that they posted the Craigslist ad hoping for a "cash & carry" type sale, so the less hassle they have to deal with, the more likely they will be to agree to your sale.

Although I have never done it that way...I still agree! I have had long distance purchaces about 3 times. Each time letting the seller do the shipping. Sometimes it costs more than I expected, but I can't complain...because I want them to do something they want to avoid! Dropping it off may cost a little more...but can seal the deal!

Plus it will provide you with recourse should the machine be damaged in shipment. I actually prefer to have machines "professionally" packed so that there is some form of third-party liability should it arrived damaged.

Still working with the seller. Machine is not in the best condition. There is a lot of cleaning and polishing to do. She does not know if the machine works, she plugged it in and the lights came on. She does not have any balls for the machine to test it.

I would love to hear any suggestions as to what a everyone would consider to be a fair price in it's current condition and without knowing if it is working.

I bought one in worse condition and I paid $100 for it. Though it did fully work when I tested it. (seller didn't know though) I also bought another in a little worse shape for half the price.

And this one just recently sold. Pachinko Machine (I tried to go after it but was a tad late. )

Basically I wouldn't pay over $175. As the last one I saw on ebay didn't even make it to $200. (reached $187 I think.)

Their odd case setup will also help with protection for shipping. Though it will require a slightly bigger box.
