Default First Pachinko Machine - $6 Garage Sale Find !!!

I have always loved pachinko and came across this machine at a garage sale. When you power it up it flashes the green and red lights and beeps, there is an error 2 code on the back. I cleaned the machine and removed a stuck ball that was too big and the machine worked. It would error out at random and I could reset it and play some more. Now it will not reset out of error 2 and the siren will not stop. The machine still fires but nothing else happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated, my kids now love pachinko and want the machine to work.

If anyone can tell me the name of this machine it would be great.

    Welcome to PachiTalk!

The first question I would ask is how many balls came wih the machine? You need to make sure the top ball hopper on the back has plenty of balls at all times for the machine to work properly.

Ditto, Make sure you have plenty of balls and the hopper doesn't go empty during fever rounds

Is there an error key chart on the back?

This is a fairly common question for this type of machine. Fortunately there's an easy fix.

    Here's how it all works.

When this machine is connected to a card reader unit, in the parlour, the machine will automatically refill the shooter tray when the balls get low (as long as there are credits).

The green button on the front tray turns this feature off and on. Most machines don't have this feature, so you would normally dispense balls by pushing one of the yellow buttons.

Since you're probably operating on a standard bypass dongle (look for the computer port on the back), it's throwing error code 2 looking for the card reader to try and payout balls to the shooter tray.

If you turn the green button off the error should clear.

If you would like to have this feature available, look into purchasing a daverob dongle which will also make the yellow buttons and the LED panel work.

What this does is it allows you to simulate the parlour experience by loading credits on your machine, and dispensing balls to your shooter tray at the push of a button, or automatically in this case.

You should definitely look into stocking up on pachinko balls. I would go with at least 2000 more than what you have. Also a cabinet with a hopper would be better to hold more balls to lessen the amount of shuffling you will have to do.

There is no dongle on this machine. I tried turning the green button off and it still has the error. I am cleaning off the contacts now and will update later. The machine worked for a few days before the error didn't clear. I am definately ordering the daverob dongle and more balls. Thanks

Have you already checked the payout motor area to see if there's a jam or obstruction?

    Welcome to Pachitalk!

You will definitely want more balls for the machine. I strongly recommend the DaveRob Dongle as well.

Enjoy the machine, looks like an incredible deal you got on it. A word of caution, they do tend to multiply quickly. Members here warned me of this when I first joined. A year later I have 7 pachis and am looking for more.

No dongle at all nothing in the 25pin D socket?

Can't see the error chart as to blurred, Just take a good clear picture of Error 2. and post it. Each charactor needs to be readable.
Other possible errors are lower tray full or faulty sensor/wiring to lower tray, Or payout motor jammed, obstructed.
Simple thing to check, Does, it dispense winning balls if one goes in the pockets? Open the glass and drop one in.

I don't know this age of machine. Does it have a reset button anywhere.

When I tried to get a better picture of the error chart it flaked off in my hands and is now only partially there. I tried unplugging and replugging the connectors to no avail and then resorted to the old stand-by of jiggling the pieces one by one and voila when I jiggled the main control box, it started working again. The payouts all work (5 balls each) and no there is nothing in the 25pin D socket.

There is a reset switch under the error code and I have tried it. Does it only reset when the power switch is turned off?

Thanks to all here for being so welcoming and friendly. I want to thank all of you for trying to help me.

My youngest daughter just hit FEVER mode. OMG. Now I see why you all say I need a few thousand balls. I took two of us to keep up with moving the balls from the front payout to the top hopper. I have the FEVER now. Will definately be looking for more machines.

If the shooter is working and the 25pin connector is empty, it could mean someone has bobbed the circuit board. You can do a search for blob. There are some threads about it.
At least it's working now When you can. Turn the power off, wait a few minutes and just double check all the connectors. Or if you can any dry soldered joints. You might find the previous owner stuck it in his garage for a few years, then tried it one day and found it not working.

Or... If it works. Best leave it alone .

Hmmm good themes for a daughter. Now that's a good question.

All 3 of mine in this frame fire without a bypass dongle.

When I tested these for daverob during the beta, they worked flawlessly with the dongle installed.
