PS - flip... I hope you didn't pay more than ~ $300 for any of those arcade games
I haven't priced any classic arcade machines in awhile so I don't know about current prices. Back in the early. 90's I had a Tempest, Joust, and Stargate in my house and paid about 50 apiece. This was at the end of the arcade "crash" and games were plentiful. Fast forward 10 years or so and the kids that grew up playing them in arcades were now buying them and reliving some fond memories. The prices were crazy for a working game in decent shape-many, many times what I paid. Speculating here but 300 doesn't seem too bad for a working game now. Now that I have room I'd definitely like to pick up a couple of my from that era.
Apologies for the hijack CFlip. Gonna be fun cracking open that container in a month.

    No probs lads.

None of those aracade machines are mine, just the pachinks - but I can tell you that not *one* of those machines was under US$300. Most were very appreciably more than that.

One of the Donkey Kong's which was fully restored was $1100. The Galaxian, Galaga and Digs that were Tier 1 (no restore at all, just as found) were $5-600 each.

Thanks for the price info. That's more in line with what I was thinking for current values.

Haven't decided - I haven't seen nor touched them yet, so will make up my mind in a few months.

Left port late (I didn't know this happened?) but she is on the way, so barring pirate attack...

We'll lose contact shortly, as the transponder system this Google Maps lot works with has only short distance effectiveness to coastal bound units. So as she heads into deep water and crosses the Pacific, there will be no updates until she is near the top end of Australia in about 15 days time.

Fair thee well, my salty treasure ship...

Thanks for this thread Candyflip. I remember setting most of those titles up new out of the box way back when, and servicing them.

I think Galaga has to be my favorite. But I think Defender is my favorite. I really liked to play the Donkey Kong.

Sounds like it's too late for me to put on the old eye patch, fly the Jolly Rodger and intercept that boat. Darn! Foiled again!

    She IS tied up...

She ended up steaming into port 12 hours late, which means a day of unloading today, then Customs and Quarantine clearance, then delivery to our warehousing.

So if I see them before Wednesday next week, I'd be very surprised.
