    Default Caution ordering from www.pachinkocabinets.net

I placed an order and paid for a Pachinko Cabinet with http://www.pachinkocabinets.net on June 6th. They unfortunately do not list a phone # on their site, however you can email them.

Brenda was quick to respond to my initial questions about dimensions and such. After placing the order I did not receive any form of confirmation other than my PayPal receipt.

I sent several emails asking for the status of my cabinet and eventually received an email stating they were sorry they had failed to ship my cabinet, however they would be doing so this past Monday the 18th.

Having not received confirmation of this, I have sent three emails asking for a tracking number or some form of confirmation the cabinet has been sent. Still no replies at all.

I know another member has ordered from them recently and seemed pleased with the service. I am hoping this is just an instance where things have slipped through the cracks. I just sent an email stating that if I do not get some form of reply in the next 24 hours, I will be filing a claim through PayPal. I truly hope I do not need to do this.

I will keep everyone posted if and when this is resolved. I just wanted to caution everyone about ordering through them in case someone else was considering purchasing one or more of their cabinets.

I am a little confused. After sending my latest email stating I would be filing for a refund through PayPal and starting this thread, I received a phone call from Brenda. She stated that their internet service is down and that is why they have been unable to print a shipping label and send my machine.

She stated that she has no internet service and it would be several days before it could be fixed. I am assuming then that she has been receiving my emails via a mobile device (cell phone). About 10 minutes after her phone call I just got a tracking # from paypal.

    Update:

Brenda just called again and says she was able to print my label and is sending the machine. She also is including some New Balls for the all the problems I have had.

Honestly, my biggest concern has been lack of communication. If she received my emails today via her phone, why did she not respond to the emails sent prior?

    Strange to say the least.
Having your internet go down is not the same as losing your website, unless that is what she was talking about
But your email did get some action.

I try to be patient with anyone I am doing business with. I really do not like it when I have to threaten to take action in order to get a response. I do have Brenda's phone # now, so if I decide to order any more cabinets at least I will have a better way to communicate with them.

    Note to Moderators:

I will keep everyone posted on how this turns out. It appears they have resolved my problem, however I will now know for sure until my cabinet truly arrives. I am hoping it does so before I leave for Aruba on the 27th.

If everything works out ok, you might want to change my title to this thread. I certainly do not intend to steer people away from doing business with a vendor over a mistake, if that is all it was. We have so few vendors that support our hobby and I wish all of them success as long as they provide good service.

bottom line is there is no excuse for her not having comms. she should have been doing everything possible to let her customers know that there was a problem and giving order confirmations is pretty much standard. everybody gets busy and has problems with their websites or otherwise. that's life. i think most people are reasonable and if the seller lets them know the shipment will be delayed then it's usually no big deal. in this day and age, it's impossible to not find a way to send and receive emails. public libraries have computers, friends, etc.

Hummm , It seems that this person who runs this so called cabinet business has been playing people about their so called products for a number of YEARS . Home Depot will cut cabinet grade plywood to size and you can get all the fasteners that you need as well as all the other components to complete your Pachinko Cabinet . Same old story "Let the buyer beware " . A bunch of members here have designed and built our own cabinets with very little problems .
When things don't go right the 1st time , Step back ,Take a break and come back renewed. RGS

Aaron this is a case of if you had mentioned it the the forum that you were buying from this outfit we would have let you read all of the other good and generally negative comments. You are not the first and I am sorry to say probably not the last that has to put up with whatever excuses these people make. I would sure not recommend them and not many pachi talk members would.

    Update:

I now have a tracking number and it appears the cabinet is on it's way. My only concern is I thought I ordered it in plenty of time to arrive well before I leave for Aruba. Now it looks like it will arrive the day after I leave. This will not give me a chance to inspect it's condition in time to file a claim if it is damaged during transit. I just have to pray that it arrives in good condition.

Hang in there hopefully your cabinet arrives intact. I purchased 3 cabinets from them a couple of months ago and they turned out excellent. I painted them the color I wanted and got them mounted on the wall. What I like is the consistency that the machines all look professionally hung on the wall and all the cabinets match. I tried making my own cabinet in the beginning and wasn`t happy with the way it turned out. I agree that communication is a HUGE issue when it comes to dealing with any business. I have had issues with the lack of communication from Blue Hotaru also and I live locally to there business. I could personally not run a business like this, as communication is everything. But, Rita with Blue Hotaru is a great person and will work with you to fix any issues, I also feel the same way about Brenda with Pachinkocabinets.com, although I have not had the problems with Brenda and communication as I have with Rita and Blue Hotaru. I guess it is a crap shoot when it comes to dealing with any business.

Enjoy your trip CardShark, and as long as your cabinet isn`t damaged in shipping I am sure you will be more than happy with it.

Hello everyone at Pachitalk, As I read these raving revews, I am astonished at the amount of conversation spent only dicussing the negative aspects. Ive been selling cabinets since 2002. I did misplace this order, I apologised and also had internet connection problems, this doesnt happen everyday but it did happen to this transaction. As you have so willfully posted there have been a couple more instances in the 10 years. Im not perfect but I try hard to manufactuer a good product, I live 25 miles from my shipper of choice, and I try to save a few bucks when I can. My prices are basically the same, but costs shipping, hardware, lumber, have increased substantially. I do run this business myself, with the help of my husband. He is able to help me cut and assemble them, there is still alot of work that goes into getting them from that point to actually being shipped. Ive had three discs replaced in the last few years, and a fractured vertibrate in my lower back, I do have days its just not good for working in the shop. We did move the shop in 2005 to our present location (hence the problems at that time). and my surgery (in 2009). I normally would not have brought my own health issues up, but they have affected my business. I have 50+ customers here at pachitalk, of which a large percentage of them have ordered multiple cabinets. I do understand people would rather talk about the negative aspects (just read a few random reviews of any product, you will tend to see more of the negative than the positive generally). I have made changes to my packaging to help, but alot of the shipping problems left arent easily cured. I use UPS for west coast orders and only if I am forced, their prices are 25% or more higher than Fed Ex. I charge 30.00 for packaging and shipping of which does not cover 75 % of the time. I am not a large retailer, I make a custom product to a select group. Ive tried to keep up with technology, New computer, printer, and all that goes along with that. My internet service is not great, usually I get along but occasionally it is not available and switching is really not a option at this point. I try to focus most of my energy on making a good usable product that arrives intact within a reasonable amount of time. When that doesnt happen I try to make it right with the client. Ive shipped 20 cabinets this month with one mistake, and ya you can guess which one. I dont fault him he just was asking for help, of which I have my number on this site several places, no one passed it on to him. I will continue to make and sell cabinets and fix problems when they arrise. I am not able to work a regualr job but have tried to make this business work, for the most part my product seems to hold up. I try to make changes and improve when I can. I get alot of emails and try to answer all of them but sometimes it takes a few days to get a solution or answer out that will help the situation. Thank you so much for the few positive responces that have been posted, I appreciate your help.
    Greetings from Nevada!!!!!

customer service is a hard thing to maintain.. keeping people happy is nearly impossable.. but dont fault someone for posting there problems with any vendor..

good feedback is great and usualy never recieved.. standing up and making it right is the most important (at least to me)..

we all have problems from time to time and how we work thew them and esolve them is what makes us shine.. and in the end will bring a customer back again and again..

I am looking forward to receiving my cabinet from you. Unfortunately, due to the delay, I will not be able to see it until I return from my vacation. My initial intention was to order all my cabinets fom you to keep them with a uniform look. I will certainly check out the cabinet when I return and then decide bout ordering more at that time.
