Default Need opinions and details on this Pachislo machine

I don't know the name or any details on this machine. I like the yellow cab look of the machine, any details on game play or name/model/manufacturer would be appreciated, thanks.

So far, all my other deals have not worked out for various reasons, still looking to pair mine up with another machine.

It was released in 1999 by sammy ,it's called triple rider. It's looks like a fairly simple traditional pachislo, most machines in that time period were traditional but can be fun to play just because they are simple in tht way.

    That is a 1999 Tripple Rider machine by Sammy. It's a Type B W/CT. It's a 8 line machine.

Thanks for the great info, any thoughts on price range? Seller is asking $125, I think that seems a little high, I was going to offer $75.

Just popping in with our Research Centre link

Which comes up with it as a
TYPE A + CT 8 line 'Triple Rider' made by Sammy in 1999

PachiTalk Research Center - Sammy - Triple Rider - PachiTalk

Of course the Type will also be clearly displayed on the front of your pachislo too if you need to confirm

Your price range is about right for that age of machine.Ask how many tokens come with it ,thats what the bargaining range is the amount of tokens there are.

OK, those are exactly the considerations I make. I figure if I have to buy 400-600 tokens that will run me about $30-40.

Talked to the seller, he is agreeable to $75. It has all keys and all lights and sounds work. He says he has a "bunch" of tokens, enough to fill the bin inside (I will be taking a look at it tonight). He says the chrome plate on the front has some scratches but otherwise is is cosmetically in good condition.

Sounds like a good deal, 8 line payouts are a rare action, sounds interesting.scratches on chrome are pretty common with these machines .A good wax can hide alot.Give it a good look over inside and out and play it if you can to make sure it's all working ,then if interested go for it.

It is mine! $75.00 and it is a Type B. You can play 1, 2 or 3 tokens and it is 8 line payout.

It has about 400 or so mix and match tokens, here is a cross section of the tokens.

Very good shape overall, clean with just a few minor scratches on one side. The chrome was slightly oxidized but some 0000 steel wool and mineral spirits shined it up like new chrome.

Here is a short crappy vid of the game play.

Looks like you got a pretty nice machine.

Everyone has been VERY helpful and thanks for the replies! A couple interesting things, this machine is LOUD even on the lowest sound setting! My son hit the bonus and it is fun.

    Questions:
There are two tiny black switches on the back of the front door near the volume selector, they are to the right of the vol selector. Anyone have an idea what they are for?

There is also a toggle switch that is under spring pressure to reset itself right next to the reset key, any idea what this toggle is for?

Second, the coin hopper inside does not slide out to access the coins and my hand is way too big to fit in. What do others do? I can scoop them out with a large spoon but it is a pain when I need to grab more coins. I tried to remove the screw and loosen the rod that is held in place with a spring clip but I still couldn't get the tray loose, I am looking for a non-permanent modification.

That is a good looking machine with some kool sounds. Can you loosen the tracks that hold the hopper in place they might be a little corroded to the hopper base. Most hoppers slide out for servicing and refilling.Iam not sure about the two small switches on the door, try them and see what happens. They could be a credit switch that cancels out credits,or changes to maxbet only? The spring loaded switch by the reset key might be to unjam the hopper. These machines can be a little scary to figure out when you first get them. Without real manuals of operation it's mostly trial and errorto figure out.Just take your time to study it.Just be sure to unplug it before you disconnect thing to figure it out,and you will figure it outGOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN.

There is a "Pay" button on the front under the coin drop, if you hit it, it switches between coin only mode and credit mode. That is one thing I figured out so far, lol. And it dumps all coins in credit, lol, hence the "pay".

The toggle switch under the plastic shield is a dump switch for the hopper. The plastic shield will hinge down and you can access the switch. You can then dump however many tokens you want into the tray just by using the dump switch. Using this switch will set off a alarm and a error code will display. After dumping however many tokens you want just turn the door key to the left and this will reset the error code and the alarm will stop.

A couple more modifications and enlightenment.

First, I figured out how to remove the coin bin, there was a lower latch that released the lower end of the front door, they are two separate panels. Once the lower coin tray panel was opened the coin bin came out, who'd a thunk it?

Next, the key for this one pops out under a spring after the door is closed so to prevent the key from getting lost or flying on the floor, I attached a retractable key chain to the side of the door.

Also, the sound was just too loud on the lowest setting so I took advice and had some spare pieced of memory foam lying around and cut them to the shape of the speaker panels, works very nicely.

Lastly, I'm pretty sure the lower fluorescent light is burned out on the front panel, there is no error code and the game play is not affected but looks like I have to find another bulb. The bulb says GE/Hitachi FLSD-B, it also has a HLK 8 and some Japanese writing. Any links to purchase a new bulb would be appreciated, thanks!
