    Question Another "Help Identify" thread

Hello! I've had a Pachinko machine in my closet for about 22 years - got it from my uncle because we used to play it all the time at their house. Anyway, now my kids really enjoy playing it so I've taken a renewed interest in it.

From what I can tell it is a 1973 vintage. I've Googled a lot and have yet to find a "dragon" face as the center piece. Is there a name for this one?

    Thanks for helping.

    to Pachitalk!

That is a nice looking 73 Nishijin model B Tiger machine. I have one myself. Though the back of mine still needs a few repairs.

The jackpot lever is half way down by the paper clip but doesn't look like there is a ball there.

As long as it works, no worries...

Hi There and welcome to PachiTalk!!

Unlike moderns, you will find that mostly, there aren't really any 'proper' names for vintage pachinkos, but members do give them names based on various features or the centrepieces.

Most vintages are identified by manufacturer and generally fall into type A,B or C machines, and the stickers help determine the most likely date.

The members here are probably the most experienced in identifying, restoring and generally enjoying and encouraging the hobby, so do please post if you have any questions, queries or just want to share pics or opinions.

Glad to hear the pachinko is out of the closet, and that your kids are having fun with it too, my own children love pachinko and I think it's really great to pass on the hobby to the next generation

Thank you all for your help in IDing the machine. It's nice to know finally what it is.

CarlW: "The jackpot lever is half way down by the paper clip but doesn't look like there is a ball there." What do you mean? Sorry, my Pachinko technical jargon in at level 101. Often the kids run the system "dry" and when they win the jackpot no balls run out till I re-fill the hopper then about 10 (or a few) queued jackpots payout. Could that account for the jackpot lever half way down?
