Found a Pachislo without outer key, seller says make offer, options for no key?

If a machine does not have the outer key, what are the options? Drill out the lock? Seller says make offer, I was figuring on offering something really low and see if he gets rid of it. Is it an easy fix?

ohhhhhhh man, no KEY.. its worthless.. (at least thats what i would tell the seller..)

there is a hole in the bottom the machine you can reach into and open it up.. you can buy a new lock (50-60 bucks) and replace it.. jimmy the lock so it does not catch.. or mod the cabinet so you can put a pull coard/rod on the latches and lift it to open..

no key is a pain but it can be an easy fix...

there is also and error showing.. it will need a full rest and tokens if there are none included..

What does the E1 mean? I guess I will have to make sure the inner key is there to do a full reset, right?

Inner key switch can be easily replaced with a toggle switch if it is missing.

Just called the seller, offered $30, I think he is going to take it. Going camping this weedend, so I'll probably pick it up Monday. Any more info on the E1 error would be awesome. If it just a coin thing then should be good to go.

I agree a reset should take care of it assuming you have tokens.

The seller seemed to think there were tokens inside, he only has about 6 tokens left so I myself would also assume someone played the tokens and they don't know how to open it, just a guess.

You could find a bunch of tokens and maybe the missing keys in there. Good Luck!!! It's a great price, I would snatch it up.

I got a King Camel for $50 once. Seller said the keys were lost and it to was showing an error code. Also they had no tokens.
Got it home and reached up through the bottom and unlatched the door and the door key was on a key chain with the reset key, hanging in the power supply.
There were about 300 tokens in the hopper also.

Even if the keys are not inside the machine. Having no keys is an easy fix. The door lock can be de-pinned so that any key will work and the reset key can be replaced with a toggle switch, as Card Shark mentioned.

As far as the E-1 error code, the machine just needs reset.

All of these things are common and easy fixes.

Well, when I was camping this weekend the seller figured out how to open and reset the machine, it has the inner key and he says about 100 tokens. He says he has a buyer at $100 but is unsure if the buyer will come through, so now my offer was $75. He didn't sound very confident that his buddy would buy it, so I might still get a decent deal, just not a steal.

I have no key for my Lucky Cherry.lucky cherry 028.jpg So after reaching inside and popping the latch...I attached a string with a keyring tied to it.003.jpg A 1/8" hole was drilled through the chrome door, and a small screw eye screwed into the cabinet to hook the string around to keep it out of the way. Worked fine until the string broke. I upgraded to a 12ga copper wire.lock 001.jpglock 002.jpglock 003.jpg OOPS! Same shot...different flash. I'll probably never have to replace it again. I have seen locks for sale...I can't bring myself to spend $50 for one!
