    Default Hanabi (20" screen) help

Hi Guys - Got a lovely Hanabi I've booted up - the ball shooter isn't working. I've got the dongle in, and I've traced the power back, and it isn't getting as far as the coil, so I assume the coil is ok. There's a minefield of things it could be of course, although when I boot the game up, I'm used to seeing all the LEDs on the back of a game light up also. On mine, only LEDs 1,3 & 4 light up - surely 2, and 5-8 should also come on. Of course, all the writing is Japanese so I can't see what these LEDs signify.

I've checked the 3 or so fuses on the boards, and all are ok. The game boots into attract mode just fine, and if you open the front and drop balls into the jackpot hole, it performs fine - so just the shooter issue.

    Any advice gratefully appreciated!

    James

    Hello

Sorry i'm not too technical, but could it possibly be a bad dongle??

maybe trying another dongle in the machine could rule that out??

I'll have a look at my Cutie Honey later and see what leds are on that.

Had a quick look and by the looks of it. They are error LEDs. As to what. Unsure yet. When mine is ready to play. There are no lights on.

assuming it reads as the picture.

    1) 球抜き状態
    2) 球貸し状態
    3) 下皿満たん状態
    4) 球切れ状態
    5) 間欠状態
    6) 球切区り制御ソレノイド異常
    7) 計数スイッチ異常
    8) 受信異常

    1) Ball Dump open*
    2) Ball Lent Status
    3) Status of Lower tray*
    4) Rear Hopper Empty*
    5) Intermitate status
    6) Solinoid Control error
    7) Abnormal Switch counting Error (Possible payout related)
    8) CPU failure

The ones marked with a * I simulated on my machine.
Rough idea as my Japanese is limited. But it sounds like you only have lights to do with the ball system, And nothing to do with the shooter. Mine still shots with all 3 of those lights on.
I'd re-check the dongle, and fuse, Don't forget the ground ring on the shooter, If you have a bad graound it will not work, Also the little stop button on the shooter as well.

Thanks guys. I've never connected the ground up on any of the other pachinko games - so I didn't bother with this. I was thrilled to hear this could be a cause - so I connected up the ground...and nothing

I filled the rear ball tray up, and managed to knock off light 3 (although I would have thought it would have taken off light 4???).

Lights 1 and 4 are still lit - could anyone please suggest how to locate these sensors, and I'll test from there...

Thanks again - and pics enclosed just incase the LEDs specify a different error order...

I've located the ball dump switch too - this infact what what toggles LED 3 on and off (red level to empty balls from rear).

I thought I'd tried another dongle already (D'oh!) but a last attempt at trying one made the shooter spring into action!

Putting lots of balls into the rear top tray pushes a switch in, although doesn't seem to affect the LEDs.
There seems to be an optic sensor on the lower door to sense if it's closed - this seems to have no effect on the LEDs either.
Another switch (a small push switch) that operates if the top door is open or closed, again seems to have no effect on anything.

Seems these switches wont stop the machine from operating - no matter if they're open or closed.

It all seems to function fine, so I guess thats a result!

    Thanks all x

Oh, and I pulled the ground back out again - and the ball shooter still works

    Hello

Obviously I guessed this one would be your machine

As you know I have this one too

So here's a link to the manual, it's known as CR Hanabi Fireworks or CR Fireworks I suppose it should really be as 'hanabi' is of course the Japanese word for fireworks!!

heck, I never tinker with the Menu screens, so not sure what you are looking at, can you post a pic of the Menu Screen and perhaps someone can help translate it for you??

As for volume control, the location of the factory fitted one at rear of your machine, is shown on one of the pics in that Manual / Guide I gave a link for above.

My own Hanabi had extra after-market volume controls installed by the Vendor when i got mine, you could check to see if yours has any too, mine are located behind the glass door at the front. Or Perhaps James will see your posts and advise.

Congrats again, I'm glad you like the Machine

Did not post to help due to my Hanabi being cyclic. I have fault LED's lit but they are electronically bypassed.

    Here is the Volume Control.

    Fireworks.jpg Fireworks1.jpg

It is a 3 position slide switch. On my Fireworks it does not change the level. As you can see in the Pic's there are wires soldered into the plug to the left of the switch. This is the Speaker Plug. I installed a L Pad to quiet thing down. :
