    Default Sanyo GaoGaiGar pachinko?

I'm new to the world of pachinko, and I'm sort of diving in head-first. The gimmicks are really blowing my mind, plus its cool to see some old anime series get new life in pachinko form.

On that note, does anyone know where I can get the GaoGaiGar pachinko machine made by Sanyo?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi There

Is that the one released May 2011, featured in one of MrGneiss' new releases threads?

New Pachinkos for May '11!! (Egashira 2:50, Western Police 3)

If so, then it is still relatively 'new' and I'm not sure how soon they make it onto the secondary markets these days, but perhaps other members can advise on that for you.

in the meantime, I'd like to welcome you to PachiTalk and the fantastic fun world of Pachinko!!

If its only just come out, I reckon you could get if for $1000 in about 12 months. Then give it another 6-12 months and it be down to $500

I guess I'd better keep that on my short list. Err...a rather long short list: GaoGaiGar, Ranma 1/2, GARO and Combattler V. Ranma 1/2 is the oldest, I think. Anyone know if that one's available yet?

I almost brought a Ranma at end of last year, But got Maison ikkoku instead, I think Frank put a price against it in one of his last posts.

I'll definitely have to look into it come time for the next shipment. There are so many cool machines...it boggles my mind how much work and intricacy they put into them. Even cooler that they are bringing old franchises new life.

I saw two of the GaoGaiGar units for sale on Yahoo Japan Auctions. One at 25000yen and one at 19800yen. (no pic on the second one) But I'm uncertain of the condition...plus I'm pretty sure they won't ship to the US.

A third party service would act as a go between and ship it for you. That's how I get my machines.

I think I may have gone a little overboard with Juno. Got three cells: Hissatsu Shigotonin IV, Ranma 1/2 and GaoGaiGar. I believe the latter two can be swapped into the V-Trigger frame. But for $38 + shipping per cell (except for Hissatsu), I don't think its a bad deal. Plus I grabbed some battle counters. (I will probably ask to confirm the method of attaching them to the machine once they come in)

    Have I gone too far...

Cool beans! I've seen the price of the Ranma cels really dropped in price. I also saw some sellers with just v trigger frames too. We expect pictures

I'll definitely get pics as soon as things start coming in! BTW, are used frames typically scratched/marked up...and what can be done to clean them...or is there touch-up paint? Specifically, the white Macross Fever V-Trigger frame.

Data counters can be tricky, Years ago some cels needed the correct lead with plug to connect to the data counter, But all of my new ones have quick spring loaded connectors, Like speaker connectors.
Should be 3 pairs that need connecting up.

See here for info (connections for Ranma)

    http://daiichi.net/jp/pdf/sankyo/72.pdf

It should make more sense when its all in front of you, Or just ask

As for frame condition. It all depends on the parlour it was in. Thats why, The importers have people to check the machines before they are sent. Its one thing you can't do if importing yourself.
Oh all of mine have needed a good clean, But that can be said for SOME of the imported machines

One can never go overboard UNLESS you can not pay for what you get!

I hopefully will be having some more machines shortly when I can visit Comastu's place...
TRUST me I know ALL about the overboard thing... It starts with with one... I am over 10... and soon well...

I'm looking at a machine right now that has some paint chipped, scratches and the shooting knob is really scratched up. I can post pics, and maybe you can tell me if it looks about normal for a machine you'd get post-parlour use?
