Noble thought. However, when it come to money, you really don't know a person at all. I've learned that over and over as I am too trusting of an individual. Folks I would trust completely do a complete 180 when it comes to business and money. They have a business, not a charity organization.

Like I said earlier, it really does not hold up, as the vendors could just start the opening bid at 120.

Some now have started thier bids at higher $$. You see Magic Pulsars now starting at $150 when they used to start at $48 like all others, and some of the other select and more sought after machines are having thier starting bids increase. The thing to find out is, where and what channels does this Robertk6161 guy sell out of if he is getting the machines. I would like to see his sale!

Yeah... someone's sitting back having a good laugh about this.
Someone that likes to have fun.

But the pre-arrangement about shipping is probably the case... buy enough over a short time and have them put on pallets... store them temporarily until he gets a pallet load.

Dealers might not mind that. After all, they're getting that minimum bid in return. Not price fixing like that... just smart business. I don't think the price fixing by shill is the case, though. The dealers he's working with are too stand-up.

Choosing machines... warranty... tokens... pallet shipping... top vendors.
A pretty good business decision, really.

I just won a Neo Magic Pulsar from demos777 (is that Milt?) last night.

I have wanted one of those for a while, and I was very surprised when I got it for only $2 more than his bid. I really expected him to come back with a higher bid.

BTW, is $133 and change (plus shipping) a good price for this machine?

I just heard back from him. Here is the reply:

    Dear xxxxxxxxxxxxx,

Hi, I,m Bob and yes I do have a retail store selling Pachislo machines. I'm located in Minn. If you are close by drop me a line for more details. The machines can be shipped to certain areas, with state approval. The freight can be expensive. About $70. Thanks, and have a supper day. BOB

    Thank you,
    robertk6161

So, it looks like he is just buying them for his business. No harm there.

Could just be a clever cover story. If the vendors aren't behind this, maybe it's the Japanese mob trying to drive up the value of all those used machines coming out of the parlors. Or maybe his "retail store" is on the 6th floor of a school book warehouse and he's piling all those pachislos up around the windows to block the view.

There has to me more to this. Just remember, BOB spelled backwords is... well, it's just BOB, isn't it? Maybe I'm getting carried away. Time to get back in the straitjacket.

This is all just too weird. There sure seems to be more here than meets the eye. Gwarzin sure could be right thinking that something else is going on. Keep the jacket in the closet... or send me one, too.

Haha! Yep, but still, this is a strange deal. Hard to believe all that is going on is some guy buying machines for resale.

Not only that, but now that conspiracy theory is down the tubes...

So, what did you find out, Don?

This guy is being an eBay HOG!!!
Bidding on 39 items ending JUST TODAY!!!

Some of which looked very good to me... at least they did.
So now it's getting a little personal.

Maybe we should just track his bidding history... and drive these right up to the MAX for him.

I wonder if he realizes that warranties are good to the ORIGINAL purchaser for eBay auctions?

I used to look at the auctions all the time to see if there was a good machine to slip through the cracks. But since this guy is gobbling everything in sight, it's almost pointless to look at the auctions anymore. Unless you bid over $130 bucks, you are not going to win.

It has definitely taken the fun out of looking for a "deal." There are none any longer with him driving up prices to a minimum of $130 or so.

It sounds like he has a store that he is going to sell them in. Don has an email to him and we are going to check it out. I was able to get a machine the other week for $80.99. Must have been one he already had. I was bidding on one that ended today but his bids were more than I was wanting to pay. I have not seen or heard about any store in Minnesota selling pachislo's yet.
    and a few others.
