    Don-

I believe you are referring to robertk6161. I looked at alot of auctions on Ebay today on several models, just to get a feel for the market on specific machines. This guy has bid a $125 on almost half of the auctions on Ebay. He is driving the prices up. It is almost impossible to win an auction anymore unless you outbid this guy. He doesn't seem to be too particular on models or vendors, he just bids $125 on everything. I hope this info helps, and according to Ebay he claims to be from Minnie Soda.

Yeah, and he has won TONS of machines but only has a feedback rating of 4 (!!!) because he buys over and over and over again from the same vendors.... Very strange deal.

I was a little worried last week when I was high bidder on the Don Chan 2 machine from DGI because I noticed he was bidding on some machines that day, but I must have picked the right one to bid on. I ended up getting it for $80.99! I felt pretty lucky getting it at that price.

    Logic,
Dude has 99 feedback, but only from 4 sources and they are not fly by night dealers either, one of them is Milt. this guy seems to have more money than brains.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

I would love to find out who he is and see his game room if they are all for personal use! It must be incredible! I have never seen anyplace in Minnesota that sells these machines, only the slots used in casinos here in the states since they are legal here. Now I did stop at a fairly new place in St Peter selling slots about a month ago and started talking to the guy that works there, I believe a brother or brother in law of the guy that was selling the machines and started talking about Pachislo's to him and the prices you could get them for on ebay. Maybe I peaked his interest. I will have to check in next time I am down there and see if they started carrying them. I would think they would buy a pallet from a vendor if that was the case. It would be cheaper.

WHOA... my mistake. Didn't look deep enough.
Yeah... all feedback from only a few select dealers... and all bids ONLY on those few select dealers.

In the last 30 days, he's placed 557 bids!!!! HOLY CRAP!!!

Is this guy trying to get one of each?

between rk6161 and dodc2 no machines go for less than 130
one odd thing they dont seem to be on the same machines at the same time
    like clark kent and superman
never at the same place at the same time
if i had the money they pay in shipping i would buy a container

I have a theory. I'll keep it to myself, though, as I don't want them to know I know they know I know.

I think at times the machines were getting sold at the last minute for under 100 bucks, including good machines. So, an offer was made to the three major vendors that a group of folks would drive the price up to ensure they would at least get 130 for each. Really holds no value because the vendors could just start the opening bid at 130. Who knows. I can't really imagine they are actually buying al those machines though.

i'm sure these are are real purchases, dealers like mit and eric wouldn't get involved in price fixing.

if you contacted the dealer and bought machines by the dozens on ebay that you could get them shipped on a skid or to local terminal for a much lower rate.

that brings their total prices well under wholesale with their ebay purchases.

plus they get to pick and chose what models they want.

I have to agree completely with Lucky. There's no way I'm going to believe that price fixing is going on with PP, Stealth and DGI.

I agree, I don't think it's price fixing in any way, shape or form either. It would be too hard to get all these people in on it together. Plus keep in mind, the dealers mentioned have been selling these machines for years. They aren't just selling a few machines out of their garage. They would be fools to do something like price fixing as this is their livelyhood, not just a hobby. If they got booted off Ebay, they would lose alot of business and exposure, which would dwindle their sales exponentially. So, I very much doubt they would be willing to take that risk!

Maybe this Robertk6161 has a deal with them since he buys so much. We used to get free tokens from PP, maybe he has something worked out with them. Maybe they hold his machines until he wins 6 and then they ship pallet to him at a discounted rate. True he spends a little more than just ordering a pallet direct from the vendor, but this way he picks which machines he wants?

The really bad thing here is that he is making it difficult to win any auctions on the cheap. He will usually outbid you upto $130 on almost anything.
