    Default Indy on the bay!

Indiana Jones Pachkinko Machine with LCD screen | eBay

Put A couple bid on this guy, still hasn't met its reserve... Anyone else bidding on it? I'm done bidding. Just wanted to see who is going for it!

With a Buy it now of $495 I am guessing reserve is consiferably higher than current bid.

I'm currently high bidder, and reserve still isn't met. I get reserves, but if you want a minimum price, just start the auction at that.

I agree completely. Whenever I have listed things on eBay, I would determine what the minimum was I was willing to take and set the opening bid to that. It can be very frustrating. Although, when bidding I try very hard to decide what the max is I am willing to pay and then I usually just try to snipe the item at the end with my max bid. Bidding early usually does not work in my favor. I honestly prefer auctions with BIN and the option to make an offer.

Well, auction has 4 hours left, still high bidder (why is it going off at such an odd time? Middle of the day on a Wednesday?) and still reserve not met. I'm guessing the reserve is near 300, maybe near 400.

I think my final bid is in unless some of my auctions get higher bids between now and then. At $232 and still not meeting reserve.

End date and time I believe is based on when the item is listed. When I was selling on eBay, I tried to time listing items so that they would end at a reasonable time on Sundays. Hoping to make it easier for snipers to drive up the price at the end.

Yeah, I do Tuesday and Wednesday night listings at 3 days so they go off on Friday or Saturday nights. You could see massive differences doing it that way than having it go off at 2 on a weekday.

Heh, could be. I just know most people get paid Friday night/Saturday morning. More willing to buy things those days.

Good point. I think my thinking was that there are more people who are not working on Sundays. Also, I tried to make sure that the ending time was not an issue for East and West Coast time zones.

I usually 'schedule' my ebay items, I draft up the Ads then set them to list at a time on an evening like 9pm or so. Always try and avoid them ending at 'school run' or 'work leaving' times. And preferable to list after mums have got little ones to bed

then if I don't forget, I just go back in and edit the item (nearer the start time and before that 9pm for example) and edit it to list immediately, then it's a live listing and I don't get charged for the 'scheduling'. If i forget to edit before it lists, then it's no big deal, it's just an extra 6p to pay

Scheduling saves you having to be at your computer labouriously typing up text and uploading photos to list immediately, it allows you to schedule for quite a few days into the future,

That makes a lot of sense. I will remember that if I start listing things again. Thank you.

Yeah they charge you 6p for each one, but if you go in and edit your listing anytime before your scheduled time, and edit it to 'list immediately' (or whatever that check box is called) then it lists it immediately and doesn't charge you the 6p

It's just a way to save time when listing stuff, if you want to do all the text and pic uploads at a silly time of day, when you really don;t want your listing to be live yet.

I don't do scheduled, I just do them that evening that I want them to go up.

Also, won it but reserve wasn't met, so he relisted. I wonder what will happen when it doesn't reach that price...again...

Did anyone else notice the "Shipping in U.S.A. lower 48 only." portion? That's a bit unusual for shipping...
