3000th POST !!!

As I was about to log my 3000th post, it got me to thinking about the events that lead me up to it...

One day at work I was talking to one of my Managers and he had just built a new place on the water. He said he was looking for some outdoor furniture and I mentioned I had just replaced my deck furniture and had an outdoor bar and chairs he could have. He stated he wanted to give me something for it and asked if I wanted a slot machine. Sounded cool to me, knowing him though I wasn't expecting much. A day later I had my "Pegasus WARP!" machine. I had never seen a Japanese slot machine before, so I started looking for some advice online and on July 4th, last year I came across Pachitalk. (Not sure what I was doing researching online on my Anniversary...) I had joined other online forums before, however I usually grew to dis-like all the attitudes and abuse that was constantly going on. I couldn't believe how receptive and helpful everyone was. Honestly, it actually fueled my enjoyment of my machine. I soon found myself online in the forum everyday while at work. Sometimes learning new things, sometimes just goofing off with my new found friends.

After reading and learning from the sight, I decided I wanted to find my first Pachinko. Jeff posted a CL ad for a Vintage machine only 20 minutes from my work. Using what I learned from Pachitalk, I was able to talk down the seller and got what I thought was a great deal on my Mizuho "Little General"Mizuho Little General.jpg Once I got it home and with the advice of some of the members got it working I was hooked!!!

Soon to follow were two Hanemonos. A Casino 2 Casino 2.jpg and a Taco Yaki Taco Yaki.jpg


These 3 machines all came to me in about 3 weeks. My wife started thinking I had a real problem, so I assured her I wouldn't be buying another anytime soon. A very short time after that Jeff pointed me in the direction of my first Arrangeball (my Holy Grail!!!). I immediately contacted the seller and paid for the machine in under five minutes. An 8 hour round-trip later and I had my Sammy Miracle Sammy Miracle.jpg. Now, I had the fever bad!!! Just recently I have added my first modern machine (couldn't resist the theme was too perfect) JAWS JAWS.jpg

And then less than a week ago I purchased from a member and friend a Great White Computer Pachinko Computer Great White.jpg which is due to arrive Thursday (again I couldn't resist the theme!!!). No telling what the wife is going to think now.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone on Pachitalk. This is by far the friendliest and most helpful online forum I have ever been a part of. I truly believe if it hadn't been for all of you I probably never would have discovered these machines and my new hobby. I am very thankful for all the advice and friends I have made in under a year on this site and look forward to many more years.

If I didn't know any better, it would appear to some folks that you are trying to point the finger at one of our (ahem) older members and blame them for your Pachinko addiction.

Couldn't have done it without you . Seriously, I appreciate everyone's patience and help. I am thankful for all the friends I have made here. Pachitalk has become a daily part of my life and has helped me keep my sanity at work.

Actually think I am going to sell the Little General. Still seriously considering putting a machine in my office though. JAWS would certainly get everyone's attention when I turn it on.
