    Default Battle Counters

    Hi All,

Being new to Pachinko, I was wondering if someone can explain what the Battle Counters are used for and is it worth getting?
I would like to get one but not sure how it works.
Where would I be able to purchase one?

    Thanks

In the parlour setting, Counters are used to display the machines payout for the last 7 days, contains a call button to get an assistant attention, and a display that shows how many start pockets have been hit since the last ootari. Some people at home like them for the extra light show during ootari, or the fact they have the payout info, Or just to complete the look of their cabinets.

I get mine straight from Japan using a deputy bidding service, They are light weight so the postage isn't to bad
But make sure you get one for a pachinko not pachislo. As they are not compatible,

    Just try seaching here.

There are a couple there for only 100en at the moment, But I would avoid them, You need to make sure you get one with the wiring loom.

Can you recommend a deputy bidding service? Does it usually cost a lot more than bidding on it yourself? (after confirming whether or not the seller will accept an international MO and will ship internationally)

I use Juno at bidservice. He does a good job, it does't matter if the seller doesn't ship outside of Japan as the deputy handles that side of it. Juno charges 15% of cost. Main cost is the shipping.

Some machines have speaker type clips for the battle counter wiring. Some Like sankyo have moulded sockets so you will need the right lead as well. Check the back of your machine to be sure.

Your best bet is still probably YJA and Juno.

Picked up two last month via Juno/YJA - simple ones (Asahi Miina 21's). Only 1500 yen each. Of course that turned out to be about 60 usd or so each after fees and shipping... But still a deal - they were remarkably clean and came set up for my chosen pachis.

Paid 90 for some fancier ones via a member here. Awesome deal.

Got burned on a couple Miina Graph's at about 120 each (Sourced directly from parts company in JP). Very dirty. So, unless you find a splendid benefactor here, go Juno.

check the sticky post in the yahoo Japan auction board here to get you started.

    This battlecounter looks awesome!!!

Would this work on my matrix pachinko (Daichii) and Macross Fever (Sankyo)??

And at that price, can anyone help out to get them (2 of the same)? And how to get them working on my pachinko machines?

    Thanks, D HELL (Joris)

What connectors are on the back of those 2 machines. But they should work as they are newer moderns. I don't have access to my database (daiichi website) at the moment. Look for a row of 8 to 10 sockets or a row of coloured spring connectors. Speak to Juno or one of the other bidding services and send the web page address to him. Also worthwhile checking some of the second hand dealer websites in Japan too. Here's a new link

Says the seller has nine of them. So get 2 from him if your happy with the price I'll dig out the wiring diagrams tomorrow

From what i can see from the diagram, You will need to get the correct leads for Enter the matrix.

    http://daiichi.net/jp/pdf/d777/47.pdf

But the Fever Macross has spring connectors

    http://daiichi.net/jp/pdf/sankyo/74.pdf

I'm not 100% sure. But you will need these connectors for the Daiichi, No matter what counter you get.

Cool, thanks for the diagrams, how did you come by them???

I've spoken to Juno and ordered 2 of these battlecounters. Normally used for pachislo, but they should work on pachinko's aswell (according to the seller).

    Juno, inquired it for me.

Total (excluding oversea shipment and fee for Juno) is ・ 10,000 (that's for 2 battlecounters, including backplate and wires)

Thats cool. As long as the seller assures you that they will work on pachinko machines. Don't forget to check the matrix to see if you need any leads that will fit the sockets in the back of the machine. Unless the seller is also supplying.

Yes they did. Can't check the one that is for the Macross one yet (but ensured that it lights up and everything), still waiting for that pachinko to be shipped from Japan.

Posted it on my cabinet post link

    Forgot to post it here

But they arrived with diagrams and cables attached and color coordinate (in japanese, but easy to figure that out).
And all was set up (wired) for my pachinko machines (1 for a Solid D-Frame Daiichi and 1 for Sankyo V-Trigger frame).

Had to play over 4 hours (CR Enter the Matrix) to check everything was working correct (didn't get a fever for quite a while).
And had to be sure it would return to normal (the counter) after fever and kakuhen.

Still trying to figure out my Asahi bigeye 101 unit. This thing seems to be a great idea for the parlors, but not so great for home.
