    Default Daiichi Volume control question.

Does anyone have a schematic of the multiwire Gray harness comming out of the back of a matrix pachinko? The one I have has volume controls wired into this harness. I usually hook up my volume controls at the individual speakers. The volume controls on my machine (5 of them) full blast is only about medium volume at best...I wanted to double check to make sure something was not wired correctly because all of my other machines with volume controls will go from quiet to full blast.

    Thanks

im perty sure scematic's are not avalable for pachinko or Pachislo.. unless some one draws them from scratch..

i would consider adding after market ones

    like these...

I have some aftermarket volume controls available at the house...this matrix just came with 5 already preinstalled on the machine from the supplier. They just cut the gray multi-harness and tapped in there to install the controls.

My last 2 machines from Japan were like that. They work well. It's not an issue for me.
Check to make sure the main volume switch is set right. The one on my sea story is ace, don't really need the additional pots.

Ever solve the problem with the volume? I just received my matrix machine and noticed the exact same problem. I was also not able to locate any other main volume adjustment switch. Just the 5 pots spliced in the gray harness.

Check the value of the variable resistor. If the value is too low. Then it's effect will be less and it wwill not work properly. Or they could be faulty or burnt out.

I ended up taking the pots right out and soldering the wires straight back into the harness as originally designed and as far as I'm concerned the sound is perfect! I like mine a little on the loud side anyways because I have a lot going on in my game room. Like was mentioned I'm sure different pots and/or resistors would have given better adjustment range, but I'm all set without.

500R to 1K is the best. Rated at .75Watt or higher.

But I don't bother. I like them loud. But then my machine room is down the garden
