Just back from Bacon Fest. It was really cool but with it being the first year they have held this event, I do not think the promoters realized the kind of turn-out they would get. The place was packed. Too crowded for my taste. Lines for each of the booths were over an hour long to get to sample the bacon. I am guessing next year it will be held someplace larger. They would have filled an area 3 times as big easily.

I have a good friend of mine who is a chef. He brought over some bacon he cured himself. Had a chipotle / brown sugar taste to it. Absolutely amazing!!!
