I thought it came from a "faust" macine, but apparently not. All I have is the sound board, and I pulled this out to modify it. Here it is:

I had this under "Model Talk", but it probably belongs here...

    The link works fine.

It sounds like someone running thru the piano quickly but I have no clue what machine it is from.

I see elsewhere in the helper module that it really is from a faust machine. I may have it playing back too slow. It sounding right to me, as far as a sound goes, but I have never played faust....

Link worked fine. It sounds a little muffled and too fast. None the less, I am of no help to you, as I don't have a clue as to what machine it is? Sorry!

I have a Faust, and I do not recognize this sound. It does sound like it is playing too fast. Anyway to slow it down?

I may be mistaken, but this might be the sound that is played when an error code is encountered on the Faust; but this version sounds like it has been sped up. I was just playing the Faust when it encountered a hopper error. The sound might have been something like this, but played slower. Unfortunately I reset the machine and immediately got it into the bonus round; I don't want to force a hopper error again since it is sold and being picked up tomorrow as a custom and I want to show off the bonus round light/music show.

    Thanks!!

It is definitely sped up.... When I pulled it out I played it way way too slow. So I just picked a randon high number when I recorded it.

There are some other sounds in there as well. This yamasa models seems to follow the same pattern and lengths as my kung fu lady ii. Maybe I will swap the modules and see what happens. I will modify the faust one to use my voice on the error sound byte and see what happens. The problem is I do not have a faust to test with, just the sound board. That is why I will try to connect it to my kfl ii.

    Thanks.

Well, the faust sound board was blown when I received it, but I thought I would try it in my KFL anyway. It worked, and the sound I recorded earlier was in deed the error one (I took the hopper out and did a dispense credits). So, I put my KFL sound amp back in just to ensure I did not break anything. All was well.

Next, I recorded my own sound bite into the faust for the error. Later last night I went to connect the faust sound board back up. Trouble. Even though the machine was unpluged and powered off, when I made the connections the speakers came on briefly. Capacitors I guess holding juice. This time the amp did not want to cooperate. I was told when I received it that it was blown, guess he wasnt kidding. So, I tried to swap the relevant parts into my KFL sound board, but that was a no go as well. Although basically the same setup, there are different chips and offsets, causing the machine to crash when attemping to load functions that do not exist in the loader program.

So, I will have to wait until I come across another yamasa board before testing. In leu of that, I am ordering the KFL parts that I can modify without damaging my working unit.

I was really pshyched until the amp decided not to work on the faust component. I was all set to error the machine out and here my voice come across "Danger Danger Will Robinson".

Waiting game now for more hardware.....
