    Smile Ball Lifters/Ball Management Forum!!

Welcome to the Ball Lifters/Ball Management Forum!!

I thought it would be good to have a place to find info on and post about ball lifters and ball management systems..

Stuff that would be good to post here would be questions about ball lifters, threads about building ball lifters, ball dispensers, any sort of ball handling stuff I guess..

I tried moving as many threads as I could, but I know there are many more out there that would probably be good here so if you come across any that might be better in here just PM me the link..

Just one more thing..Sometimes it can be confusing trying to decide what forum would be best to post in, say if you were going to start a new thread on your new vintage in a cabinet with a ball lifter that you got from a certain vender off of ebay But don't worry too much, the most important thing is to post..So try not to worry too much about it, if your thread on your new Star Wars turns into an epic how to on ball lifters it can always be moved to a more appropriate forum later, no problem..

Do all pachinko machines need ball lifters? Even the newer ones?

For home use no pachinkos need ball lifters..But they can make playing more enjoyable for some people..But most people don't use ball lifters..

Ball lifters are far more useful for modern machines than vintage due to the amount of balls used during play and the huge amount of ball that can be won during a bonus/fever round..

In parlors machines get a constant supply of balls, but at home all winning balls just come from the rear hopper..and since the rear hopper doesn't hold very many balls, when you hit a bonus it can get quite hectic trying to keep the hopper in back full of balls, so most people either build a bigger hopper to hold more balls or get a ball lifter..

I am sure when you reach a fever it will be a blast. You can do a little nail bending to make the machine play a little a little more friendly.

Mine arrived from Japan today, looks really clean and paint is excellent. Nice overflow channel with it too. Seems to have a strange switch on it (not the pressure pad) and a strange solenoid on the underneath I'll find out after a play with it

I'm not sure about the switch you mentioned...but mine has a solenoid on the bottom that slides a door for a ball dump function. it is also manually controlled by the vertical bar on the side as well. I wedged a piece of wood between the bar and body to prevent accidental dump.

Yes, it's a ball dump, goes back to the 4 pin plug that daisy chains the lifters together. As for cost. The lifter was ¥5000 on YJA. Shipping was ¥3475 on the slow boat from Japan. Internal shipping and Juno's fees, unsure as it was almost 3 months ago. But I think about ¥10000 all in. Lucky I have 2 240-110vac transformers here, ripped out of a set of Stanley automatic doors so I can run it.

Here seems as good a place as any

My Heiwa chutes arrived from Japan yesterday. These are designed to clip into the gutters that run above the machines and sends balls down to each machine. The little brass pin can be pushed up and down and be used to stop the flow of balls to a machine. Cost 171 yen each

Seeing as The Heiwa chutes above are a complete pain to mount. Yesterday I had a box courtesy of Juno. Featuring 3 chutes and tubes, 5 feeders and an AKB48 manual.

These feeders have a fail stop brake in them. So you have to provide power to let balls flow through the 10 ball counter wheel.

Where do you draw the power?
