Default Help identifying a Nishinjin Model B from 1978...and i need parts too...

    Hello!

    Pretty new to the site.

If I'm dating this machine correctly, its from 1978.
I havent seen this style before, so if any one has any info, I'd appreciate it.

aa850017.jpgIn the guy's mouth are music notes on these metal tines.

I actually need a new ball tray in the front (teal and blue), ball tray in the back, and a lower track cover (the one in the picture i put on a machine i sold)...in case anyone has extra lying around.

I'm not sure on the date. I actually think it is either 76 or 77.

Post some better pics of the areas that you need parts for. Truthfully I can't see any issues with that front tray. And the back one looks like it has been repaired.

    Any questions just ask.

I've seen this machine only once. It has what looks like Fat Albert with his mouth wide open. I've always wanted that machine. I see what looks like a chip or missing portion on the front ball tray trim.

Dont have any extra trays myself. You might be able to repair it with some plumbers putty (kinda like bondo, or 2 part epoxy), sand it and paint it. You can make your own track cover if you're handy.

I was going to make my own track cover, but I'd rather have an original

to get the date, you add 25 + the number on the one sticker, right?

    wouldn't this be from 1978?

that is the expiration sticker.. meaning it had to be pulled from the parlor in 78

the school of thought is that the stickers were good for 18 to 24 months.. but we don't know this to be 100% fact.. considering the Olympics were in 76 it seems to make sense

    ahhh...got it.

it def looks like the same color scheme as the olympic one, but the olympic one looks like it has 2 side pockets next to the center attraction, where mine doesnt.

your right.. with early machines it seems quite rare to find twins.. as machines get more mordern into the 80's then theme's start to become more common..

the olympic macine above is probably one of the first kind of theme machines i can think of right now... of course there are others..

    Power flash machines
    No more war machines
    power roulette..
    and things of the like

and most of these machines have parts that were put on machines.. like the paper cell of your machine.. has more standard features with the olympic cell backing

I'm still interested in the Center Feature! The first time I saw this was a few years ago and have wanted one for awhile. If you ever consider selling...

i will take some more pics for you during lunch.

let me finish cleaning and repairing it first, then i might consider selling it. mechanically, everything works.
i really havent seen this center feature before, so that would be the only thing holding me back.
