Default Help! 2005 Sammy Choro Q machine

    Hello,
i just registered today, since I picked up a Sammy Choro Q machine on Friday for a steal.

Ive repaired vintage machines, but this is my first modern one and I'm completely lost.

First of all the volume is SUPER loud.

Also, theres a little "do not enter" sign that keeps clicking up and down.
is it supposed to do that?

What is the D pad for?
what is the "push" button for?

    And help would be...well...helpful!

there are 3 factory setting.. loud louder and ear bleading.. posting a pic of your machine will help others help you locate the switches.. for volume controles beyond the factory ones i have instaled these on several machines.. you have to solder them in but they worke great

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Volume-Con...item1e6704b2ff

as for the "D" pad and "push" buttons pics would help thouse as well..

    and of course

    ill take some pics today.

i found the switch on the back. its all the way on the left, which is supposed to be the "not-as-loud-as-others-but-still-damn-loud"

i also noticed toward the bottom right side, a mini potentometer. is that for the knob sensitivity?
can it be associated with the sound? because when i touched it, ot got SUPER loud, but now its not going back down.

im also not sure how to get the balls onto the subplayfield.

WELCOME TO PACHITALKThat looks like a fun machine.I don't have that machine but they are all fairly similar. The push button is for the chance reaches that show up in the game.By pushing the button it gives you a chance to win.The knob on the back is the sensitivity knob for the shooter knob on the front. This game has a wing gate to get the balls to go into the bottom action ,it looks like the lightning bolt on the left side of the video screen.Have fun with it .

OK - this is linked to the Bonus rounds and Jackpots. Full details (in Japanese) here : http://www.sammy.co.jp/japanese/prod...st/chance.html

There is too much kanji for me to read it literally word for word, but it seems to be saying that during a 'normal' jackpot sequence, where there is a '5 line scroll' as illustrated in the first picture to the left, your Normal Bonus is a 1/99 chance of occurring. Then, during 'Kakuhen' time (the zone the machine enters that means it will be in a higher chance of Big Jackpots), it goes down to just 1/9.9 chance (a 10 times greater chance of getting big Jackpots). This is normal for modern deji-pachi machines like yours. It's the next bit I'm unsure of - something about a Chance Zone Countdown (that's what the 4 red lights and digital display are for) and something else called Chance Time where the screen will indicate something in the top right. 4 x Chance Zone and 56 other bonuses = 60 total 'Chance Time' bonuses (that still makes no sense to me, but perhaps you'll figure it out while playing?)

Yes, this is the indicator for Bonus Rounds - 4R is 4 Rounds, 7R is 7 Rounds and I'm guessing the white background/grey star is a Chance related Round - perhaps that's what the digital number will be linked to, not sure. You'll need to play and watch and see what you can figure.

    Enjoy!

If you can get clear non-blurred photos of them, post them up here : I'll attempt to translate for you.

That's the exact same frame as my Freddy VS Jason. On mine, the D-Pad is used to select which level you want to play (Crystal Lake or Elm St). When your machine is in attract mode, push the buttons and see if it does anything. I'm wondering if it was only used on some but not all machines.

The "Push" button at the bottom is used when it shows on the screen. You can have the "reels" spinning and it will show the push button. Push it at that time. That's what I also actually love with these newer machines: It's more than strategically shooting the balls. You also have to keep your eyes open on the screen to see what's going on. These machines are more interactive while playing which adds to the excitement, in my opinion.

i will def try to get pics of the screen when something weird shows up.
i just need to install the volume pots first. on the lowest setting, the machine is still super loud.

i really think im starting to like modern machines more than vintage ones. lol.
