Default Early Modern Pachinko Japanese Pinball - $100 (south county)

Pachinko Japanese pinball machine with many balls. This pachinko machine is very clean and works great. LOTS of bells and whisles on this one. Has various bonuses. digital numbers and loud. The two space martians spin to battle the ball to push in different slots for bonuses. The other great thing is all you do is TOUCH the ball sender and hold the disc and it sends ball very fast one after another not like the flick one.

This is Petango Boshijin P2 (something like 'Tango Aliens' - there's a joke in the title around 'tango' there that I can't quite get...)

I'm trying to grab this one as we speak...

    Good Luck!!

    regarding the 'Tango Aliens'

could it be something to do with the 'Tango' dance, takes 2 to tango, the 2 martians / Aliens have to 'dance' about to move the ball, perhaps they are 'Tango-ing'??

Oh yes, you're quite right - it's definitely about Tango and the aliens doing their dance. but...

The 'joke' I refer to is a Japanese word play that seems to be going on (VERY common in machine names).

They didn't name it Tango Boshijin, for example, which would simply be 'Tango Aliens'. They named it Petango Boshijin, which is not a full word in Japanese.

I've been thinking about this most of the day and I think it might be onomatopoeic : that is, a word that sounds like the thing it describes.

'Petango' might well be a sneaky japanese reference to the sound of the steel balls clashing together... but that's just a guess. 'Petang' sounds more like an English onomatopoea than a Japanese one! After all, the Japanese have such different perceptions of what things sound like... such as pigs over there say 'Boo', not 'Oink'!!

Anyway, Tango Aliens will do us!
