Post SHOWA era (1946) Vintage Pachinko - geisha girls

A nice old pachinko, 1 yen start, due to close in 2 days time.

Estimated to be Showa 20 (1946).

The maker is believed to be 正村商会 (or Seimura Shoukai), whom I've never heard of. There is no makers stamp on the machine, but the previous owner has confirmed the origin to the Seller (so he notes).

There is always another machine around the corner...

Man that is an early machine. Not even a ball tray on the back. Can't beat the start price though.

    100 machines and counting...

Beautiful!!! It appears to have the Masamura nail design - was it around in 1946?

I was comparing it to sharmoni's pre-Masamura machine, which he estimates to have been built around 1947-48: http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/memb...ost296380.html

There are many similarities in the design, but the mechanics on the back of this machine look more advanced to me than the mechanics on sharmoni's machine. I don't know if that really means anything significant, but it seems to me that this machine may be newer than 1946, or sharmoni's machine may be older than he estimated it to be.

Just my two cents worth. Either way, I would love to have that machine in my collection.

There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

I was thinking the same thing. Beautiful machine regardless of year! Love to have it!

Wow. That is really cool. Shame by budget is nil at the moment. Be interesting to see the final sale price(^_-)
