    Default Wiring question for pachinkos

I am currently looking to install multiple outlets in the middle secton of a wall in one room and was wondering if any others have done this to prevent seeing any cords hanging from each machine? Also being new to the hobby I noticed that none of the transformers have a 3 wire plug that include a ground ciruit. Why is that? I wouldnt mind having them plugged into a ground fault protected socket but without a ground prong on the power cable it wouldnt be possible.

I don't know about in the US. But here most of my machines have a earth wire attached to the metal of the frame in various places, This is then connected to the earth on the three core wire back to the socket.
Also when I had exposed transformers, I also connected an earth to the transformer mounting fixing. Now all my transformers are sealed so I don't do that. So my 3 core flex had the two wires on to the transformer (live, netural) and the earth connected direct to the machine.
In the end I'm going to install a 40A or higher PSU and run the machines through that. Although each feed will be independantly fused.

That sounds more reasonable...I was suprised there is no ground for these machines or inline fuses...I certainly dont want to burn my poor house down :O

For information. All modern uk plugs have a fuse in them as well. So we have the main circuit breaker/fuse board. Then a fuse on the plug. Then the machines own fuses. We like I be safe here. I guess an inline fuse on the live before the transformer would be a good idea. But I don't know US regulations. Also bare in mind we have 240v not 110v

you should either have all your outlets on an on/off wall switch or use power strips.

when you turn off a pachinko or pachislo off the transformers are still gettng power and could overheat and/or cause a fire
