Mine was due Today and on the UPS tracking they upped the delivery date to Thursday?

Just opened mine and it's broken. The hands are loose in the box and it's covered with some sort of oil and the balls are rattling around loose inside.
Not sure if that last part matters or not.

I don't think the balls rattling around are a problem. Mine came the same way but worked fine. I hope the rest is an easy fix or they have a good retun policy.

There seems to be no way to take it apart without breaking it further. I called Amazon and they said the seller is responsible to replace it and pay for shipping the defective one back.
So hopefully that will be the case.
Looks like the second hand broke right off.

Thanks, yes I did contact them as well as Amazon. The seller has 3 days to contact me back.
The shipping box was flawless so this had to have happened before it shipped.
The box the clock comes in was a bit beat up, but didn't look bad enough to be
broken like it was. Chances are it was defective or mishandled.
My wife wants it here in time for our anniversary.

Considering we are going to the Anime-Con this weekend I sure hope it comes
in on time. So much going on.

One of the three that arrived here had the same issue. It's a Quick Fix.

Lay the clock on it's back, hold the botton of the clock with fingers 3, 4 and 5, Using both finger 2's (pointer) at 3 and 9 oclock, press inwards on the sides of the black outer ring that holds the clear placstic face and pull to you. The Black ring pops right off. Then you can remove the clear plastic face. Put the second hand back on the center pin and reassemble.

So my wife and I are very happy about that!

Well my clock finally arrived today and the event was bittersweet.

After installing the batteries and setting the time, I turned on the game and it didn't work. "Must be a ball jam" I thought. So I took the back off and there was indeed a ball jam, so I cleared it. I figured that it mus have happened during shipping. I put it back together and turned it on again. It WORKED... for about 30 seconds then stopped. Now it just buzzes loudly. I took the back off again thinking that there was another ball jam, but there wasn't this time. I think the little electric motor ceased.

So, I sent an email off to the seller asking for a replacement. Based on Steve's post about his response from the seller, I am optimistic that I will have a working replacement soon.

I will keep you all posted.

I hope you get a replacement that works. I have to buy some C-cell batteres tomorrow.
It's not fun when you get something cool like this and it doesn't work.
My wife thinks this clock is very cool and can't wait for us to put it in our gameroom.

My clock arrived today!

and just like Steve Cebus' and New In Towns' the second hand had seperated from the fac
so following New In Towns instuctions I was able to fix it in moments,
fortunately it works perfectly as well, sorry to hear your having trouble with yours Jeff, hopefully it will be replaced quickly!

UPDATE:

I got an email from the seller and she is sending me a replacement right away! Like Steve, I instantly received a tracking number with her email.

She told me not to bother sending the defective clock back; she told me to throw it away.

All it needs is a new motor.

Hey Owen - Want to give it a shot??? The clock works fine, it just need a new electric motor to make the game/alarm work. Send me a PM if you are interested.

When I was in contact with the seller I mentioned PachiTalk to her and sent her a link to this thread.
I would probably get another of these pachinko clocks if it had a different background or looked different.
Maybe there are other models?
