    Default Popeye

Alright. I have a new found respect for anyone trying to repair broken pachinkos.

I spent an hour and a half just TRYING to take off one of the chromed plastic "arrow-like" cover surrounding the speakers on the popeye as I planned on getting it rechromed at M&M Metalizing.

After an hour and a half of unscrewing, unattaching brackets and wire connections, and pushing and pulling on the plastic clips, I got to the last plastic clip and could not undo it as the hole that it was put into is "too small" to get it back through again without breaking it or the whole piece.

And I hadn't even gotten to the point of determining whether the chromed plastic piece could be separated from the rest of the red plastic. So I put it all back together again!

I'm exhausted and back at square one.

Why did you want to do that?
    Was it dull or scratched?

Yep. The left one was is scratched and scuffed in 3 separate places (1/2" long and/or 1/2" in diameter.

Another one of my hairbrained ideas. I would have had it rechromed just to try the service, but it's too much of a hassle (and too risky) to take apart.

I once had a similar problem with reassembly.
When I was ten, and I took apart my dad's Seth Thomas "digital" clock
that was digital by means of falling numbered cards.
I still think those are cool
