Well I am surprised that they even drop in this one. Looking good.

Have a broken wire on the circuit board.
Looks like the only empty terminal with solder on it, is the 6th one from the left.
Dave, could you check yours to verify before I re-solder it?

Still moving along on the project.
Got everything cleaned up and back together on the rear of the machine. The ball gate cleaned up pretty good.
Re-soldered the 3 broken wires and made repairs to the circuit board supports on the assembly in the case. Eliminated the door switch and put on a new power cord. Still going to re-finish the case, but decided to put the assembly back in to test everything. Still have some fine tuning to do, but machine works fine. Coin dispenser is missing a part, but should be an easy fix with a piece of sheet metal. Have 5 burnt out bulbs, which I was able to order. This machine has 4 different types of bulbs. one type for the matrix, another for the top row of payout lights, one type for the satomi miracle lights, and another type for the low coin lights.
    Types are: 90A, 1891, 1449, and 47.

Very nice. And thank you for the bulb numbers. The machines seem to have alot of different sizes. Looks good. Not alot of water stains that are real noticeable. Alot of the Satomi seem to for some reason have water stains more prevelant than the others.

Having a couple minor problems with a few lights, but I'll post more on that after I check it with my meter.Satomi Resto 53.jpgSatomi Resto 54.jpgSatomi Resto 55.jpgSatomi Resto 56.jpg

    Got everything back together.
Ready to put a cabinet on it and get it on the wall.
Having a problem with the top row of payout lights. The third light from the left (#2) is dark. Re-soldered the connection, but no luck. Not reading any voltage when I should either. Hard to trace these wires, without removing the wire ties. Anyone know where this might be feeding from?
Other problem is with the entire row of payout lights. When a horizontal or verticle line is lit, the corresponding payout bulb will slowly brighten. Takes about 20 seconds before it is noticeably lit. Put a meter on one of them, and it slowly climbs to about 8 volts over about 90 seconds.
Was doing this before I changed the bulbs.

looks great. i love to see the inside as clean as the outside and i'd venture a guess and say most arrangeballs here aren't that way.
as for the lighting issues, i wish i could help more. i don't know what component drives them and if the bulbs and connections are good then it's something on the board.

I was thinking probably the small brown circuit board on the left with all the black diodes, or whatever they are.
If I start cutting the wire ties I might get myself into more trouble. Some of that wiring seems kind of brittle.

I just dropped off my boards to the local guy to have them tested and repaired. I will let everyone know how they turn out in case others old like for him to take a look at theirs.

Got the Satomi on the wall next to the Taiyo.
Still have a few things to take care of on both machines, but will be starting on the Fuji Challengeball soon.
I'll be starting a new thread for that one, but I spent some time on it already. Took care of a couple of electrical problems, and it now works.
Have one bulb out on the matrix. Not familiar with these types of bulbs. Can anybody tell me what size/number I need to order? Last 2 photos are the bulb I'm talking about.

Very nice collection. I have never seen an arrangeball with those type of lights. Good luck on finding a number. They are out of the kangaroo one right?

As you can see on my second picture this is basically what yours should look like. As you see in the first picture this is the only placard shot I have on my puter down here that I can post. I do have an excellent pdf picture of the taiyo placard that I would gladly send on email to any pachi talk member that wants one. When i get home in May I can have take off my front piece and have a nice glossy picture taken of it and ship it to you for cosmetic purposes if you would like one. All of the different machines have to some degree different placards.

I also took a nice glassy picture of the placard and sent it to AcMech. You can insert these in alot of different ways.

i wouldnt worry about finding those replacement lights unless you know exactly what they are and have a readily available source. LEDs are the best possible replacement but failing that I'd get the voltage specs, find the appropriate wire base T 1-3/4 aka grain-of-wheat lights and use my idea of the right size wire insulation to secure the lamps to the prongs. easy day and works great.

Yes Don, from the Fuji Kangaroo. Look like the orinal bulbs. Only one blown bulb. I'll check the voltage on them when I get home. I believe I was reading 12v at the matrix circuit board when I was trouble shooting another problem last night. Might try and find a bulb that will work for the time being. How about your Fuji, Hanabi? Same bulbs?
