Default Is 400 miles rd trip worth a $30 machine?

Just bought my first mizuho for $30 and looks to be in ok condition. The problem was at the last few seconds of the auction I realized the seller was a little further away than I first thought. 197 miles each way. Ow! Maybe I will plan a day at Disney World for a day so i dont feel so bad about the $4 a gallon gas. The cell on this machine has old ships on it. Living in Miami i am a Nautical Freak so I think this one will stay with me for a while. This is machine number 17. When will it stop?!mizuho.jpg

Nice machine. Not sure if it is worth the drive but oh-well. Plan a trip or something to make it worth the trip. (or find more machines in the area. )

I once drove 400 miles each way for a Ginza machine!062.jpg Needless to say, I'll never sell it...because I'll never get for it what I paid in gas and tolls. But it cleaned up nice!321.jpg

Ouch, since yer asking then yes, thats too far to drive for that machine. I'm a nautical fan as well and have spent all of my life on, in, or under the water but the machine looks pretty ordinary.

Always great to save a machine of course, but there may have been or will be one closer. They always pop up. Safe travels.

Well I will chime in and say that it obviously appeals to you, you are keen on the ships, you are happy with the price and I'm sure it will be fun to work on and play, and it's a pachinko!!

Just compare it to what you would have to pay to get one in the UK, I have paid well over £100 GBP for some and also our gas prices are more expensive too

Like you say, you could also incorporate Disney World or something into the journey to make it extra worthwhile, or just calculate it as an average spend across your whole collection if it makes you feel better

Not far at all. Really short by the length of my trips. I try and make a trip out of picking up machines and it helps. That way I do not count the cost of the gas. LOL Just ask my wife. I have one trip over 1500 miles one way a couple of 600 and 800 mile trips for powerflashs and arrangeballs. Well worth the trip. I do not think many of us plan on making a profit on our machines. If I sell one I try to get the cost back plus a little of the cost of the gas. That all being said if their was a machine that I really wanted I would rather pick it up than ship. Congratulations on your purchase and enjoy it.

I think it's too far for the sole purpose of picking up a single machine. Add more $$ for the fuel used.

But as others have mentioned, make it a multiple venue trip. If you have family then plan an outing etc. If you're single then grab a friend and go ROAD TRIP!

I don't think its too bad, well I would travel a couple 100 miles in the UK if it was an amazing deal! Others have said great ideas about buying another on the way or a day out! Also I don't think you can stop collecting them, I started with one Pachislo now have 7 of them and 1 Pachinko which is turning into 2 by the weekend they are all in my lodge in the garden and I am thinking I need a 2nd lodge now haha
Once you buy one machine you can't stop

Yes Monkey it's close. It's in Palm Bay. That might actually be a great idea. This way I won't have to rush up there and I can meet another pachi fan
