Talking Authentic Pachinko Balls (49 of them that my dog didn't eat)

The description of this ad gave me a good laugh.

I listed this before, and found MORE of these pachinko balls since that sale.
Yes, it's true: I had a pachinko machine in my garage, and whenever a stray ball fell away from the machine, my black lab chased it down and ate it.

I didn't realize she was eating them until my girlfriend took a turn at cleaning up the droppings in the yard, and noticed how heavy the droppings were. Needless to say, she broke it open to find out what was going on, and we had a good laugh about it.

OBVIOUSLY, we continued cleaning the yard, and pachinko balls and all went in the trash ...we were simply not interested in digging them out (how gross would that be?)

We moved the pachinko game to the den, and after a while (when nobody was interested in it any more), we got rid of the machine.

Fast forward to last week, when I was cleaning the den, and I found some stray pachinko balls that got away from the game during some feverish play by the grandkids ...I counted 49 stray pachinko balls in total.

So here they are, up for auction! These are authentic pachinko balls, from pachinko parlors (as evidenced by the engravings on each ball). Unless I'm mistaken, they are about 5/16" in diameter, and weigh in at 0.22 ounces each. Don't hold me to these numbers, as I may be wrong, but pachinko balls have a specific weight and diameter that is strictly enforced in Japanese pachinko parlors, and these are authentic, so they meet the specifications.

I don't know how old these things are, but they are not "polished" or "shiny" ...they are used and authentic.

These things are relatively heavy, so be sure to check the shipping cost. By the way, I won't be accepting returns, because the dog has eaten enough of them already!

It might make more sense if his dog ate the machine too...

I have lived in Edmonds (15 minutes North of Seattle) for about 7 years but I grew up in Yakima (about 2.5 hours east of Seattle). I came over here for graduate school and to my mother's great displeasure, WHOOPS, never went back!

I bought the last auction they had of 49 of these and they sent a letter with a picture of the dog, it was pretty funny. Only 2 of the balls were engraved, and the rest were rust. Pretty much junk, but the sellers were fun.

Great story. I love it. Reminds of a friend who had a Samoyed that used to eat everything, dirt, cans, 2 x 4's, rocks, and digging, wow that dog would dig. Apparently that is kind of trait of the breed?!

You know I just have to ask why you bought 49 pachinko balls that a dog ate?

Well I just wanted a few balls because growing up, my dads friend had a pair of machines, and I thought they were the coolest things. And I thought getting a few balls for cheap would be a easy way to relive those memories. Now I've become somewhat obsessed and I want to get myself a machine. So I guess I have become addicted to pachinko because of some balls a dog couldn't eat.
