can you identify this for me?

I've seen pictures of Vintage machines and of flashy modern ones but this one seems to be stuck between the two - perhaps made in a transition period. Wondering what your thoughts were and if this was worth acquiring (asking about $70)?

70 is a fair price for it (so long it works).. looks like a nice clean machine... its an early mordern machine.. early 80's
