Okay. I know there are quite a few gear heads here on PT. And I know that quite a few of them watch Top Gear.

So I devised this. There are many, many episodes of top gear. And everyone has their favorite Challenge or episode. So why not start a thread to where everyone can post those clips.


So here are the basic rules:

You can post any clip you want. Doesn't have to be strictly the British Top Gear but I think we know which one will get more posts.

Please do a favor and post just the link to the video. Don't do the embed upload method. Also when posting it please try to include either the season / episode or the challenge title.

I laughed so hard when I first saw that one.

Last season's US one wasn't too bad. I know where they shoot the whole show. Less than a mile from where I live.

Post many clips who says you have to post one.

OK...I'm partial to Audi as I'm a Product Support Engineer for our famous brand. By the way, just yesterday we celebrated our 13th year of record sales year after year. We are the ONLY vehicle manufacturer that actually profited during the "economic crisis"!!! We are right behind BMW in the Import High Group in global sales. BMW and Mercedes are worried. In the last 5 years we've made some major strides to improve quality, performance, and exciting new designs!! By the way, we've just blown Lexus off the map! Their boring old technology isnt even a contender anymore. Lincoln produces a better product than Lexus right now. In fact, I give a ton of credit to the "Big Three" as the American Car product is doing very well!! I wouldnt be afraid in any way to purchase ANY american made vehicle right now. They've come a long way in a the last few years since the "bail out".

Back to last night. Our party was amazing!. We had a famous comedian perform for us this year. Last year we had Wyclef Jean perform for us in a very intimate venue.

Anyway, enough preaching, traditionally the Top Gear guys arent Audi fans. They're brainwashed by BMW and Mercedes in my opinion. But the facts are clear, we surpased Mercedes in Global sales and on BMW's heals. Jean Jennings of Automobiles Magazine (senior editor) awarded us their award for our new A7 for the most progressive, sporty, and technoligicly advanced vehicle ever produced yesterday, in person!!! It was very cool for us!!

I'm sorry, but I just had to share this news as it happened just yesterday at our annual Audi of America meeting in Washington DC.

Here's a clip from about 5 years ago when the RS4 first came out with a Direct Injected 4.2L V8. The RS4 now is almost twice as fast and exhilirating to drive as ever before. However, I would buy this model, even 5 years old today if I could afford one. It doesnt matter though. I already have an S-Line A4 Avant as a company car and thats good enough. I'm happy!!!

By the way, way back then, we received awards for the Best Sounding V8 on the market. Even the Big 3 coudnt compare!! Now we're squeezing out the same horsepower and torque out of a 3.0L Supercharged V6 engine with higher MPG!!!

I must say I am a Mercedes guy... as long as it is from the 70's or 80's, the cars I love the most of any I have had are the 2 W116 bodies I have had the pleasure of owning. That being said my friend has an A4 and I love that car and I would sign papers saying I would never even look at a Merc again for a R8.

R8!!!OK thats a whole nother level. The GT just came out last year at 560 hp. Its over the top. They're almost too hard to drive in city traffic because they belong on the track. It's too much for the average driver. I deal with with Lambo's as well since Audi OWNS Lamborghini. These cars just cant be driven as daily drivers. There's too much power. The adrenaline rush of driving these cars is so overwhelming that your destined to either have a MAJOR crash or simply, get your license revoked.

I know I couldnt own an R8 because I would either be dead in a month or have my license revoked for a 1000 years

Its fun though. Mercedes, BMW, Bentley, Jag, Lambo, Ferrari, they're all just toys for the rich but a least I can drive them for an hour or so. Thats enough!!

Most of us just dont fit that "demographic"!

Like the pic of the old Mercedes Owen! That would actually be a nice comfortable cruiser! Finding cheap parts to repair it would probably nickel and dime you to death though.
