    Default My Visit to Camp Roberts on California's Central Coast

    Yesterday ,Thursday Jan 26,2012 I drove down to visit the Camp Roberts Museum and check it out since the last time I was there was back in 2003 while on active duty U.S. Army service for training . Here's some photos that I took while there . Enjoy !!

    That looks like a pretty cool museum. I mean the next best thing to pachinkos is most likely TANKS! Thanks for sharing these pictures TTC.

    Strange to me that the Army would have a field phonograph.
    i wonder what it was used for?
    i wonder if some soldier actually had to lug those around in combat?

    To listen to V-Discs that USO in Hollywood made for the guys . The Phonograph is clockwork powered and is the old needle / reproducer not needing power to amplify the sound The portable weighs about 8 Lbs same weigh as a M1 rifle

    And here's a photo of me 17 years ago in 1995 at Camp Roberts when I was there for 6 weeks learning Automated Logistics 92A20 . Man so many years
