Default Nishijin Super DX Power Supply

I have a Nishijin Super DX (have had it for about 30 years) but no longer have the power supply for it and want to try to get it up and running. It does not have a transformer at the bottom of the case like some of the ones I've seen, just has the 3 wire connections at the top (orange, white and yellow). As I recall the power code hooked directly into those connections. It indicates 10V and it has a BUSS AGC 10A fuse. Any ideas what I need to get it powered up? Thanks for any help!

Welcome to PachiTalk!! Thanks for joining the site and becoming a member!

I use a standard 9 volt battery to power each of my vintage machines, and depending on how much you use your machine, one battery should last you close to a year. The red wire connects to the '+' and the white connects to the '-'. The black wire was connected to a parlor light to let the attendant know when the machine was out of balls, and is obviously no longer needed.

Please post a few pictures of your machine, as many folks here would like to see it.

Again, welcome to our community. Please come back daily and post often.

please post some pictures of your machine. (don't know if we really need them but it is always nice to look at the machine.)

As for power it is not required to make the machine work. As the whole machine is mechanical and works off gravity. But if you do want power it only operates the lights. Which means that you need a 9v power adapter, transformer, or battery. 6v also works but the lights will be dimmer unless you replace them. I find most power adapters at thrift stores for about a $1.

Here is basically what you are looking for. http://www.sparkfun.com/products/298
they are commonly found on cell phone chargers, small appliances, clock radios, and other little things like that. DC or AC current doesn't really matter. Just don't buy one that is over 10v.

At the moment I'm trying to remember how to hook it up. But I kinda forget. But other members will be able to help you out.

and once again welcome to Pachitalk! if you have any more questions just ask.
