Default My two Pachinko Freestanding Cabinet Design

Well I just got done with my freestanding pachinko cabinet today that holds two pachinko machines. I still need to paint or stain it, but it came out real nice at $260 using oak boards. This designed only required four wood cuts and has only a 16" piece of wood left over. The biggest cost was the oak wood and the pool tube @$3.75 per foot. You could drastically cut cost if you used pine or cabinet and some cheaper tubing. I will draw up some plans and a parts list later. 48"W x 12"D x 65"T. Let me know what you think.

    Wow those look great !!!
May I ask, did you build the cabinet bottoms and doors yourself or buy them pre-made?

    Beautiful job!! Very professional looking.

What funnels are those and where did you get them? I need one for my Star Wars pachi.

The entire bottom is made of upper unfinished oak cabinets from Lowes. They are 24" w x 12" d. They cost just over $60 each, but I got one half off because there was small crack in the door. A little wood glue and clamp is all it needed to fix the crack.

The funnels are from ACE Hardware. I cut off the bottom of the spout as there were filter screens. They work pretty good, but I do have to tap them once in a while to get the balls flowing. Here's the UPC 084369100038

I'm thinking of leaving them in the natural oak finish. If I do anything I'm going to do a light coat of amber stain to bring out the grain. The sides are partical board, so I may have to paint them. For now they are staying natural.

first off nice cabinets you built there.

I'd suggest the least you do is put a coat of clear or natural stain on them. That way it will protect them from water if you spill a drink or something. Plus it will make them smooth.

    100 machines and counting...

They are perfect height for sitting in stools. I can stand and play, but they are a little low for me by a few inches. I'm 6' tall.

Thank you, I am just a little over 6' myself. I will be heading to Lowes on my next day off.

Okay I drafted up some plans from the front view of the cabinet. I also took some better pics of the sides. Make sure to double check my measurments before you cut.
