Reading an online retailer website, came across this term "Automatic 8 Reservation" as a type of modification to a pachinko machine,

it will cost an additional $5775 Yen to put on this mod.

I have no idea but it kinda sounds like it will play the game for you. It seems like you won't need balls to win.
    Which makes no sense.

i have heard of members adding a button to there machine that starts a fever mode..

or members convert there machines cyclic.. that means you can play your machine with verry verry few balls.. something like 10

neither mod is of any interest to me so im not sure how to do it.. but others have..

    hope that helps ya

The cheap way to start a fever mode is to open the glass and just manually drop the balls in the proper pockets.
I can see where it would be useful if you were trying to get some video and it was being elusive.
I can't see it being useful for playing the game tho.

I think it is the mod they add to the desktop models (where it is just a cell in a box) I am betting it is a box added to the machine that pulses the start pocket trigger so the machine "plays itself" without any balls needed letting you sit there and just watch the machine.

So in reality it is no longer a pachinko machine per se'. It's just a way to watch the reach and fevers.

    Hi David,

Ok, first things first - stop using Google Translate. It will only confuse you more.
Use this link for your translations : http://nihongo.j-talk.com/kanji/

Copy and paste your Japanese kanji etc into the text box, click 'Detailed Word Info' on the right, and press Translate Now.

What comes out is the individual words, broken down into meanings, and romaji (so the english pronunciations of the kanji/kana). It helps a LOT to know Japanese just a little here, for you can now piece the meanings together much more eaily if you understand the meter and the rhyme, so to speak.

My version of this translation is as follows:

"This machine has been changed/made into AUTO for amusement only. It has had an auto controller added so you can operate it yourself. It's had a CHANCE button added (for starting Reaches/possible jackpots). It's been changed so you no longer need to use balls to play it. You can set as many spins of the Reserve (or the Horyuu in romaji) yourself, as you like. The Jackpot (ooatari in romaji) button can be set to be any number of rounds you want" etc etc...

In essence, this is as Owennewton points out, a desktop conversions. It is popularly called a 'BOX' conversion on Yahoo Japan and the like. The Japanese, with very limited space in their apartments, like these to have as displays with all the basic functionality, and not needing balls to play it. Of course, all the challenge of the parlour experience is completely missing.
There is always another machine around the corner...
