Man does that bring back memories.My hair looked just like that in 72 to74 ,when I was a roadie for the rock band JETHRO TULL.That was along time ago,most of the members here probably don't even know who they were.And my hair is long gone to.

I was a roadie for "Gang of four" at one show before Dave quit the band for good a few years ago. I think that is the biggest name band I worked for that people here would know of.

My roomate Tim, on the right, worked as a waiter at the restaurant I was kitchen manager of (Top of the Rockies, Security Life Building, Downtown Denver on the 30th floor) but he worked at night in a video rental store and had all these movie promo posters. Ironically, to the left of that picture on the other wall was a full size like 24 by 36 of the cartoon characters "Beany and Cecil" which was a childhood favorite cartoon of mine. This was a 100 year old apartment in the "Washington Park" neighborhood in Denver (very exclusive) and only I paid $150 bucks a month for rent. We had 100's parties there over a few years. I guess because I was in the music business?! The landlord of the unit had not changed the rent since the 60's. She was awesome. She was like in her 80's and the nicest woman I've ever met.

I ended up renting 2 units in this building/slash apartment home. The other unit I used to use as storage for my motorcycles. my wife had a sewing room, and the fridge was always full of beer. I cant even describe how bizarre that was. That unit was actually a grocery store, a candy store, and a church. I paid $175 for that unit per month but it was an apartment. I had it for 5 years.

Strange time in my life but I was so thankfull for to meet some very cool people to get me started in Colorado after moving from Vegas.

I remember the renters before me and they were hardcore punks that partied constantly and were known on the block. They still respected Mrs. Henderson. I lived just up the block at the time in a regular apartment unit before we aquired the half of the building. Great times. I wish life was as simple as it was back then! (a grown daughter getting married this year, caring for my mother aftering suffering from a stroke she had 13 years ago, travel constantly, wife still recovering from an anuerysm last year but doing well).

Life isnt easy, but its threads like these that remind us of the carefree times!!!
