    Default Pinball Museum

spent the last few days in vegas and went to the pinball hall of fame several times in between gambling bouts. it's a place i've always wanted to check out and i got the chance to play lots of EM's that until now, i'd only read about.
admission is free and the EM's cost a quarter and the SS pins cost 50 cents. most of the machines have a QR code on them to scan with your phone which then pulls up a page with that particular game's history and specifics. many also have an index card on them with the same info.
t's an unassuming warehouse type building just a few minutes from the strip that contains pins of course but also a good selection of vintage arcade games as well as pitch and bats, shooting games, and other machines that can only be found in places like this. i also found found and played the vintage arcade game "Gorf", i haven't seen that machine in years.

the "museum" should be a stop for any fan of coin op amusement machines when in vegas and since it's been open they've given over a half million to charity.

I will certainly check it out on my next Vegas trip. My cousin was just in Vegas for the CES, I will have to ask him if he went by there.

The CES starts today, so chances are he's still in Vegas now. So you could email him and let him know to check it out.

Do they allow picture taking or taking videos in the pinball museum?

Yeah the CES is on. While I was there the hotels were filling up fast.
Yes you can take pics in the museum, it's very low key and really not a museum since all the machines are available for playing. Great place. I made 3 trips in as many days and still didn't get my fill of electro mechanical pins. Something quite special about those old pins.

I was in Vegas last June and drove by the Pinball Hall of Fame, but didn't have time to stop. I need to go back there soon.
