Was it 2011 already?? That means its been 100 years since the golden spatula!!

What is the golden spatula you may ask..well it's a spatula that is gold in color!!

But what does a golden spatula have to do with Crabmas you may also ask, well that's a funny story..

Ohhhhhh I've been waiting for this years Crabmas Story!!

So tell us, tell us, just what does a golden spatula have to do with Crabmas!!!

Ok I'll bite, tell us the story of Crabmas.

Well ok..it's not really a funny story at all, but it is a story and here it is..

Well 100 years ago, 100 years ago today to be exact Christmas Crab and Gordon were on there yearly Crabmas week trek around Crabmas Island to deliver salamis to all their friends..when they both heard a yell for help coming from Gingerbread Canyon..They both ran as fast as their crab and platypus legs could carry them..once they got to the edge of the canyon they saw that the old rope bridge that went across the canyon had fallen apart..and someone had been on it when it fell, but they had been able to grab the edge of the canyon!!

It was the Winter Witch..and she was in trouble..Christmas Crab and Gordon jumped into action, finding a long branch on the ground and extending it out as far as they could and told the witch to grab on and hold tight and then they both pulled the witch to safety!!

The Winter Witch was so grateful that she took a golden spatula out of her bag and handed it to the Christmas Crab..She said that the spatula will grant one wish to whoever is holding it and that the wish would last for 100 years!! So she said to think very carefully before deciding on a wish..But Christmas Crab and Gordon already knew what they wanted..they wanted to be able to deliver salamis to all the good people in the whole world on Crabmas, not just the people on Crabmas Island..


And just like that there was a flash of light and a Magical Sleigh made of Spam appeared and the witch explained that with this sleigh they would be able to deliver salamis to everyone on earth..And that it would make it possible to do it all in just one night!!

But there was a catch..they would also have to deliver snot and used band-aid filled boots to all the naughty people of the world..

That seemed fair..so for the last 100 years they along with all their friends have delivered salamis and snot boots to all the people of the world every Crabmas..

I'm thinking that witch has great fashion colour sense, obviously keeping up with the latest trends in witch-wear

Ohhhhhh but the 100 years is up now!!

So what does that have to do with anything..Well you see, the sleigh stopped flying two days ago..All of its powers were gone..The wish only lasted 100 years and it had been 100 years on Tuesday..

I think everyone was just so busy bringing joy to the people of the world that they had lost track of time and didn't realise it was this year that the wish's powers would end and they just weren't prepared..All the salamis were made, the sleigh was packed everyone was ready to go, but they had no way to make their deliveries..Everyone at the Crooked Castle was sad..

Plus I don't think there's a airport on Crabmas Island, just a small heliport..
