Default My First Pachinko, couple questions

I got a nurse betty machine from ebay and it arrived today. Probably paid a bit much after reading through this forum, but I'm still happy with my purchase. So it seems like the machine is in working order, but the front led numbers and buttons don't do anything. Is that just beacuse of the conversion to home play? If I have Dave's dongle does that work again? Also I'm trying to figure out what is the big bonus that Dave's dongole gives you? Is it more than a credit system? I'd think the counter that I saw on ebay would be better as you'd be able to track wins and losses. Finally what does the led number in the back mean. It's flashing a 0 right now. Thanks Dwight

Dave's super wonder dongles will make the display and buttons work!!

Dave's dongle gives you more pachinko awesomeness!! While its not needed, most people that try them never want another pachi without one..While they have may features, the main thing they do is dispense balls from the rear hopper to the front shooter tray when you push a button..Its convenient, especially when you have your pachi mounted in a cabinet, and it gives you more of the parlor experience!!

    No problems, more curiosity.

As for the dongle, I want to build a custom cabinet and I was thinking of installing the ball counter into the face. I feel I would get more use out of knowing how many balls +/- I was vs. freely being able to load credits on a card. The card reader system would be cool if you had kids and you loaded a certain number of credits on the card as a reward. Or maybe there's a way you can have a competition/party where everyone gets their own card and you aim to win the most. Is there a way to convert balls back into credits?

So I was playing today, and got my first jackpot. Sweet! So i'm continuing through the frenzy mode get to about 5 and this shows on the screen. I hopper was out of balls so I filled it back up. Still didn't change. So i turned the machine off, then back on. now I have a black screen and the lights are still flashing. Is there a reset button that I'm missing?

Did you stop shotting balls during a jackpot. Some machines go into error if you don't get any balls in the jackpot pocket during jackpot. I got told off for saying fever for a non Sankyo last time

yea, I had to refill the hopper. That's when the error happened. Had to restart three times to clear it. I just order 2000 balls which combined with a hopper expansion and maybe an automatic ball return should cover me for these situations in the future. Do you think I would have a better chance of getting a fever if I left the machine on rather than turning it off when done playing?

Yes, the error was due to you stopping playing. No, leaving it on will not change the chances of winning.

Some of these early moderns can be a pain if they run low on balls. In the mean time if you jackpot again. Keep shotting and try to get one ball in. Then transfer balls in to the rear hopper before the start of the next round.
