Very cool. My brother is a CGI tech in Hollywood, and I think he'd be impressed. It's not just the animation work, it's the clarity. I have worked on several Bs, and a non-Nishijin, but not an A; however, I feel competent to tackle one with this as a reference.

I understand not copying it, but is it permissible to link to it?

Someone is selling a type A OBO on eBay. They live less than two hours from me, so a made a very low offer, and said I would pick it up. It looks like it needs a lot of work, but the animation has me itching to work on an A, and quite honestly, the more work, the more fun, as far as I'm concerned. These are like real-world Rube Goldberg machines. And if they are far from pristine, I feel freer to fabricate solutions, like molding a chip for a part out of Fimo (Sculpey, same idea), and epoxying it in place, or using coat hangers to make the missing wire parts. Or completely rewiring a machine, and the color of the wires doesn't matter, neither does blade vs. tube fuse.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, that it's helping people is the biggest thanks I can get.

Yes, links are perfectly fine. The copyright is to prevent people from burning copies of my work and possibly altering it as thier own sales tool or gimick.

This is absolutely amazing. I have a website retrofixes.com. I am currently working on a restore (mostly cosmetic) article for my Nishijin A. Would you care if I posted this video on my site?

Great, it will be later this spring before its posted. Your video explains the inner workings better than I can convey in writing. Great work!

Absolutely brilliant high quality and informative video. Thank you for taking the time. That took a lot of skill. At first the music bothered me, but then it grew on me and fit the animation. Personally, I would have used Rush Hemispheres Cygnus X-1 Book II.
