    Default $238.88 at Sam's Club

    For your information...

I saw pachislo machines for sale at Sam's Club (Shenandoah, TX -- near Houston). Six machines were piled up on a pallet, and the price tag said all at $238.88. The machines were Wild Wolf, Neo Planet, Sindbad Adventure, Mach Go Go Go, and Kyojin no Hoshi (A Star of the Giants). Each product included 450 token, a manual and keys. It's said to have a 90 days warranty.

Machines were wrapped with plastic film (like vacuumed packaging for frozen food). I thought they were polished very well. No major scratch or dent was found.

I just think you may get a good deal if you find a premium machine at this price. It doesn't seem the provider (TDC Game, Inc in Itasca Il) cares much about the differences among the models -- they just sell machines in bulk, mixing gems and pebbles.

Please be aware that you should be able to handle any malfunction after purchasing because probably it's going to be a little trouble getting customer service from either Sam's Club or the distributor.

Anyway, if you are a member of Sam's Club, go check!

Oh no. The jewels could be laying out there, especially in the smaller cities with a Sams Club. Oh, I have to be strong. I am so weak... (Mankato, MN trip coming... tomorrow?)

    Thanks for that information :!:

Is Sams Club the same as far as Costco goes as far as returns? I have been eyeing a computer system at Costco and I checked with customer service after seeing the return policy sign that states you have 6 months. When I talked to the customer service manager, she said that it is a no questions asked 6 month return policy ! That means after the computer has lost 1/2 its value in 6 months I can return it for a 100 percent refund! I wonder if Sams has the same return policy. If so then I see a Sams Club membership coming my way real soon !

I've got a sam's membership, but last time I was there, I don't recall seeing anything more complex mechanically than a soda machine....

I had bought an Epeselan from CostCo. $249.95 +tax. It worked for about 2 weeks and after I called Grandview for a week, I took it back to CostCo and got my money back. But I went and bought the Babel at CostCo. and have had no trouble. They also had a Million God which I almost bought which I am glad I did not. I also believe that Slotter bought his first from CostCo.

Seeing mention of Mach Go Go Go, Is that Speed Racer? I got a little excited. We have several Sam's around me. I went online and ran Slot Machines in the web page and got something about TDC Games???? Then noticed it said "In Store Only" So I tried to check my local Sam's Club Inventory, online, and got "No Matches" for Slot Machines. I increased the mileage to 100 miles from me, That would probably hit Northwest IN and SE Wisconsin and again got "No Matches" on my Search. Now I can't get back into the regular, Nationwide, search since I have a local club set. I keep getting directed through my local Sam's club and thus no matches. Probably got to do with Cookies set on my computer now.

from what I saw, you won't be finding any slot machines/pachislos listed at sams club in wisconsin, anyhow. :-( If you're in Illinois, I suggest getting a hold of Dave from 7mileslots.com, and checking out what he's got. Only downside to that, is that he's currently waiting for transformers, and has very little stock ready to roll at the moment......

    Bingo!!

Sam's claims to have them around me. Might be worth a trip tomorrow to see what they have. But they are $255.

Fat chance there's a Spin Luck there, right?
Might pay that for a Sinbad, though. Hmmmm.

    THANKS, GAKU!!!

I do have the hopes to get up to 7 Mile Fair sometime soon. Trying to find a Saturday or Sunday when I can get the trip in. I think that could be fun. My girlfriend would kill me though if I didn't take her along and if I went alone. The problem, there, is, she usually works Saturdays and Sundays. Might have to try and make other arrangements with him, (Dave?), if possible. I also got a reply to an earlier post about someone in Elgin. Thinking about that too.

I know of a couple of rec room furniture places around me that has them also but add their markup and basic machines get as expensive as some of the premium machines elsewhere. The price mentioned above at Sam's seemed intriguing and worth looking into as I have 3 stores very close and the Speed Racer is one that I have been interested in. I still look forward to one of the trips mentioned above but with things going as they are, finding time is difficult. I want a machine, I mean, I NEED a machine. Actually, as I also mentioned in an earlier post, if I buy one for me, I have to buy one for My girlfriend or she will never speak to me again. :-)

Dave at 7mile has something around 1,200 machines in his warehouse if I remember correctly. Maybe you should leave the girlfriend at home, or better yet, have her drive a SECOND vehicle on up, so you can load both cars full of pachislo fun? Gets rough to get your 'fix' when you can only hold one in the trunk and one on the laps of people in your backseat...

OK, don't laugh. It is an ugly car but might be the perfect Pachislo Transporter. I have a Honda Element where I can remove my rear seats. I have to measure it to see if the height is enough to get a pachislo through the doors or tailgate. Certainly, I could lay 2 or 3 of them on the sides if necessary. If they could be put in upright, I could possibly get many in there. More than I could probably afford.

I know what you mean. Got a kick out of the article posted about Hoarders. I might fall into that category myself. Whenever I go to Vegas I don't see a book of matches, cocktail napkin, deck of cards, dice, casino chip, token, Souvenir Hurricane or Margarita glass... that I didn't want to take home with me. I got boxes of stuff that I can hopefully display somewhere, someday. You should have seen me at McCarran a couple years ago, trying to get through security for the trip home.

The screener saw something on the xray about my bags. He took me aside and discretely asked of I was a courier. A courier?, I asked. He said, "are you carrying any jewelry or gemstones?" "Would you like a private inspection of your bag?" I told him no and asked Why? He went on to tell of some dark, irregular, specks on the xray. He again asked, "you aren't carrying any jewelry?" The closest thing to jewelry, I said, would be mardi gras beads. Got about a dozen strings of those. At this point my Girlfriend's eyes started to roll. For the next 15 minutes he unpacked my carry-on. Out came all the Mardi Gras beads, decks of cards, dice, chips, tokens, DVD player, Camera, T-Shirts and Barware..... Then 2 bottles of crushed casino chips. These are it, he said. He then explained that some chips contain metals like lead and iron that can make them look dark on an xray. Some are security features in the chips to detect counterfeit and others are simple components of the colors. Such as White (Lead(?) and Red (Iron).

As for Pachislos, there are a bunch, more than I could afford, that I already have some interest in.

    Super Blackjack
    Speed Racer
    Tri-Color (Red White and Blue)
    Double Chance

and then a few others that I don't recall the names of. I keep seeing machines, while browsing around, that I wouldn't mind having. My girlfriend and I stopped at a Pool (pool tables) and spa place in Mundelein IL that sells a few Pachislos. We looked at the 2 or 3 that they had and she has been hinting to me ever since. There was one, the Double Chance, that seemed pretty much fun. It had a bonus feature. I think one of those match things, like on pinball machines where if your number matches a random number you get another payout or something like that.

Anyways, I look forward to going out to see what I can find. 7 Mile and DrugDoc seem like they could be good places, fairly nearby, to check. I fear though that seeing 30 machines here or 1200 there, I might not be able to leave without a whole car load of them.

I had never heard of them before nor seen one when I was looking to replace my 14 yr old Chevy Lumina. My old car was getting too expensive to operate and had developed a problem with the engine that made long trips, more than around town, a little tense whether I would get stuck 40+ miles from home etc. Especially with my High School reunion in Delefield, WI coming up I really needed something more dependable for the 2 and a half hour drive. Then there was the mileage issue when gas prices were $2.39 a gallon and the Lumina was getting less than 15 mpg. The Element has been getting me an average of 21mpg. My trip to Delefield when it was a week old yielded me 23.

With my work in Photography and Video Production and hobbies like Astronomy where cases with equipment like my telescope were fairly large, I was also looking at minivans, small suvs, full size vans, RVs and family sedans. The cars I was looking at seemed too small, if affordable and too expensive for the better sized vehicles. Either that or I would have to take a very basic trim level with cloth seats and such that obviously wouldn't wear very well or long.

I was looking at the HONDA Accord and CRV but found that the Accord's trunk was a little small and to get reasonable trim features like AC and a decent radio.... would get into the mid 20s as fast as you could blink an eye. The CR-V was fairly well equipped and roomy but there were a few things I wasn't thrilled with for a car that cost about $25,000 after tax, title license.... When I priced the Element I found I could get it with almost EVERYTHING (2004 EX-S(Side Airbags)) including TTL and Doc for low 20s.

I was on the HONDA website and clicked on Element, wondering, what is that. I couldn't hold myself back from laughing. Then I clicked on interior pictures and read a couple car reviews on it. The Element was getting some of the best reviews I had ever seen. So, I decided to take a look and see what they were talking about. The interior was actually kind of nice and location of the shifter on the dash wasn't as awkward as I had originally thought. The headroom and roominess was incredible. After the experience with my Chevy and carpet pealing off the doors and the dashboard padding delaminating and coming apart and the carpet getting soaked every winter with slush and snow then needing frequent steam cleaning.... Seats getting dirty. All the smells from the wet carpet. The plastic floors, panels and dash on the Element, all seemed very sensible. I don't have to worry about carpet getting wet or interior trim and padding pealing off and needing to be re glued. It is all plastic. I have carpeted floor mats in it to dress it up but when things get messy I can take them out, clean them, dry them, mop out the car then put them back. My seats are all waterproof also and a nicely durable fabric. If someone spills something or a pet has an accident, I can just wipe it up with a damp rag.

Then noticing the sensibility to the exterior plastic panels and the low cost of replacing them if they get scuffed scratched or damaged. If someone bumps a bicycle or shopping cart against the car all seemed very functional. Reading posts from people who have been rear ended and needed to replace plastic parts on the rear bumper and tailgate etc. and ordering parts online and being able to fix the damage themselves in about 2 hours for about $200 really got my attention. No painting necessary unless someone hits one of the doors. I am still trying to figure some protection for that. Something that will look decent and not detract further from the appearance. While a little awkward looking, I started to appreciate the ugly plastic panels. I got one of the nicer colors so it all has started to grow on me a bit. It is a great car with an enormous amount of room for passenger comfort and cargo carrying ability. Like I said in my previous post, it might just be the perfect Pachislo Hauler.

Will post more pictures if I ever get it loaded up with Pachislos.
