Default Finally got my Urusei Yatsura Pachislo machine!

Iordered this from Frank at Custom Pachinko. The box arrived in great shape. There was apparantly an extra bag of tokens in the machine which broke open and got into everything.
The transformer pulled the screws out probably from the weight of the coins against it.
There was no damage other than that. It did need a hard reset so I called up Frank and he walked me through it.
I really like dealing with companies that have great customer service like Frank at Custom Pachinko.
The machine is working. The thing is on any setting it does NOT like to pay out. A few small payouts but then again it's a skill game and right now it's sitting on the floor so it's hard to time the buttons just right.

My wife thinks it's great! It's our first Pachislo machine and will not be our last.

The only thing is the cell at the bottom has what looks like a fluid underneath it and I'd really like to clean that out.
When you press on the cell it looks like it disappears.

These pics aren't the best as I am sitting on my router while taking them. Our whole house is torn apart at at the moment. But I would love to know if there is a way to clean inside that cell without breaking anything.
The bottom panel looks like it could unclip from the back. I took a pic of that as well.

The first pic is of the whole machine. I'll post better ones later.

2nd and 3rd pic is that weird fluidlike stuff in the cell.

4th pic shows that the plate must come off somehow as it wiggles a little bit and there is a seam all around the panel.

    Thanks for any help!

    Loving it so far!

I'd love to have a pachislo. Had some UK fruit machines in the past. but the weight stops me ordering a proper pachislo.
I don't know anything about slots but others here will. You might be able to remove the glass and dry it out
The pachinkos and Pachislos sometimes share the same video to save costs

    Lum is always fun!

I will take a pic of the inside it's seems really involved in there.
Ok I found the clips and have it off! I guess they make it easy so you can change the lightbulbs that are behind it.

    IMG_2761.jpg

Now I just have to unscrew it and carefully see if I can clean out whatever that fluid like stuff is.

A nice looking machine.Alot of times the bottom belly glass just has to dry out from climate shifts in shipping, maybe give it a day or two to dry out.If that does'nt work there are some tabs inside the door you look for usually 3 on top of the frame and 3 at the bottom of the frame.Carefully push on them down or up slightly and they will release the frame. If you need help just ask ,and enjoy it

Thanks, I got the plexiglass out of the frame. It seems that the inside cell which adheres by static elctricity had loosened up. I took it all apart and cleaned it with my best glasses microcloth and then using a single direction from corner to corner rather than up and down I got all the air bubbles out of it. It looks like oil or water but it really is just a slight air bubble.
You are probably correct that it's due to climate change in shipping as Frank said it wasn't like that there. I believe him. Still it was an easy fix and I'm very thankful for that.

    Here is the fixed cell.

For payouts. It might be worth changing the odds. I personlly don't know how but it's been told on the forum many times. But as been mentioned before, easier wins seem to sacrific video interaction. I would agree. Let the machine settle for a day and see if any condensation clears from the belly glass.

Frank told me how to reset the machine and how to change the odds!
I've set it from 1-6 and 6 doesn't give you all that many wins, so I will reset it and try 1.
I'd love it more if I didn't have to add coins all the time.
My wife is chomping at the bit to play it.
Whoa there she goes! At least the volume is at a decent level.

How many tokens do you have ,500 is a good start 1000 is great. level 6 is the easiest to win down to 1 the hardest. The small hits are pretty common in most pachislo machines then you start hitting chance games ,thats when the timing of stopping the reels comes in.There are usually warning sounds or flashing lights to give a warning of chances. You will know when you hit the bonus. Have fun.

I just set it to 4 because I was losing so badly. Then I hit a bonus round and did poorly. I won like 352 coins but if I was better at the timing I could do a lot better.
My wife liked it but got frustrated at level 1 so we cranked it up to 4. It's a challenging machine no easy wins with this one.

I have 1000 coins. I think that's a good number. Good thing this doesn't take quarters or I'd be broke.

I seem to hit Mendou's a lot of times with this machine no matter how I time it. The best those give is a free spin.
    It's good fun tho.

It takes a little time to understand these machines, they are not like american slots. When in the big bonus ,you are what the japanese call battleing against the machine to win the max tokens. One tries to confuse the motherboard by stopping the reels in a different sequence to get more wins out of the bonus chances. There is a skill to it.Thats why they are called skill stop machines.

Yeah, I figured this out a while back that if I hit the same reeel each time it would screw me over but if I hit the buttons at random I could do better.
Hopefully I will get a bit more skillful over time.

Do you own any Pachislo's? if so which ones?
    Thanks

I looked up everyones machine. Those are some really good looking pachi in your collections!

I joined that database earlier today, it's very helpful for modern and more recent Pachislo machines.
The Urusei Yatsura game I have is pretty tough but winning really feels good.

I don't have the mad skills that some of you guys have but I enjoy playing it.

I think we all just enjoy playing these machines. All the machines have different themes and gimmiks that make them fun, and it does feel good to win at playing them.

So very true! I like the UY series because I really like the characters and they are pretty funny.
I've watched every ep (which is a lot) all the OVA's and all the Movies and my wife has also.
I think that helps me to enjoy it more.
Winning is fun even when you have to refill the hopper.
