    Default Auto-Save in PM?

I lost my long winded message in a PM I was going to send. I had said it auto-saved but when it went bye-bye on it's own I couldn't figure out how to retrieve it.
So how do you retrieve a message like that, is it possible?

Hmmmm well I usually know my way around most of the site, part of the job

but I'm not sure on some of these features that appeared after a recent upgrade, I have noticed the message 'auto-saved' but not had need to find out if it actually did save??

Depending on your Browser, I believe you can use the back button to go back, I use Firefox and have managed to retrieve posts this way, but never tried it with a PM

Hopefully another member will chime in with more info on this one

That has happened to me as well with a too-long PM. Even though I had noticed an auto-save message appear every once in a while, I was unable to retrieve my PM. Perhaps someone else has?

Normally if I type a long email or PM I type it into a txt file then copy and paste it. It's very frustrating to lose the message.

Although I guess part of it did get sent so that's good.

Though it doesn't help when my IE crashes when I'm on pachitalk. I end up loosing everything I was going to post.

(I also noticed it is chrashing more ofeten lately. I don't know what is causing it. I don't have IE9 but when I did it was still doing it. I don't know if there is a bug or what.)

Best way I have found to fix issues with IE crashing is to use another browser

Tabs are awesome! I just use whatever is newest all the browsers have issues. I've tried them all.
Some people like Firefox or Mozilla so those are teh ones they use. That's ok, my system doesn't like either of those so I stick with IE.

I use Google Chrome and I get Shockwave crashes all the time. It also happens in Firefox.

Firefox is the most stable for me but I do have newest versions of IE and Chrome installed as well. Comes in handy when I hit sites that just only work in one browser

I have Firefox but rarely use it. I had Google Chrome but I deleted it. I can't recall why but there must have been a reason.

Truthfully I don't know what version I have now. I know I had 8 for a while. But when I uninstalled 9 I think it also deleted 8 so I don't really know what I have. I think I'll try 7. now to just find the download (shouldn't be hard to find.)

When you are in Interet Explorer go up to the bar at the top and clip on Help and then scroll down to "About Internet Explorer" and it will tell you which version you are using.

Okay found out I have IE8 and already read some other forum sites on people having the same issues as me. Unfortunately I think I'm either going to have to live with it or find another browser. (only option to possibly stop crashes was to disable all add-ons but it took away to many necessities for me)
Anyone know which browser has the least amount of problems and is able to do as much (if not more) the IE?

I see this turning into a war

My opinion is any and all are better than IE but they all have bugs and things to not like.

its a matter of personal choice.

we let it go.. we move on...
whats good for one person doesnt work for another..

fortunately Browsers are FREE to download.. so you can download them all and try them one by one till you find the one you like..
