Snow Pictures--Winter 11/12

Ok, I should have probably started this earlier since there's been snow some places for over a month, but better late than never!!

We had some snow for half a day a few weeks ago (there wasn't really much to take a picture of though), but after that it hasn't really been cold here until today..

So post your snow pictures..Once you have some snow to take pictures of that is!!

Ok I'll start. These pics were taken in October in New Hampshire. We normally don't get snow like this until well into December. It was so bad I called it Snowpocalypse 2011! This was about 2 weeks after Fall Foliage season so you can see all the leaves on the trees.The snowblower constantly jammed with wet leaves as I hadn't used the leafblower that early.I have videos if anyone wants to see them. I can upload the links or you can got to YouTube and type in SteveCebu.

You and your wife should make a promo for toro snow blowers.You're enjoying it way too much. When the snow hits here it usually snows for 2 to3 days straight.The snow gets heavy and wet in the lower valleys,not like the powder on the mountains.

Thanks We don't have promo's for Toro but we do have a ton of videos with our Toro. I'm also a regular poster on the snowblower forum which is for snowblower geeks and fanatics.
All those guys have too much fun with snowblowers. One guy has like 6 snowblowers!
Toro liked our videos so much they sent us a pair of matching Toro fleece hats.

I was going to take pics of my wife using our new Toro leafblower but there just wasn't time.

When we get a storm it's not unusual to get 12-16" at times.
The above pics are from October of this year! Unbelieveable!

2-3 days of snow straight is a LOT of snow! We get everything here from powder to almost slush, wintry mix, and of course the dreaded ice storms.
I hate Ice Storms, here are some pics of the last one we had. I have tons of other pics of that storm including the trees that smashed into our house destroying our roof.
At least I got some good pics.

We don't get ice storms here the humidity is low.Our storms blow in from the northwest mostly and are very cold. A big storm will leave about 10to 18 inches at a time in the valleys and bench areas and usually 3to4 feet in the mountains.The ski areas get 10 to12 feet in a season.Right now the avalanche danger is very high in some areas. The ski resorts opened on thanksgiving this year, about two weeks earlier than normal.It's already in the 20's at night.

You guys already got socked in PA. My cousin lives in PA and they've gotten about 24" during that storm back in October.
That Ariens is a great machine.

Boy is my machine an antique, it's a homelite 2 stroke 50cc with rubber paddles up front that throw the snow and is 27 years old.
