Default First Pachinko Machine Sankyo Tiger...Need Help

This pachinko machine was given to me by my mom who got it for free from a friend. I am trying to find a wiring diagram to see if it will even light up or if i am in for a challenge. the date is 54-6...from what ive read that means it was made in 1979. It seems to be in good condition except dust. I have wiggled all the moving parts in the back to see the corresponding flippers in the front and they all seem to work. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You. Kyle.

Welcome to PachiTalk!! Thanks for joining the forum.

Free machines are always the best, and we can usually help you overcome any issues or obstacles you my encounter. Please post some pictures of the front and back of your machine, as that is our "fee" for the support. (we REALLY love to look at pictures!!)

The lights on the vintage machines work on a very simple switched circuit - think of your two wires running from the positive and negative posts on the bulb to the power source, then adding a switch to one of those wires somewhere in between to either complete or break the connection. That is really all there is to it. As for the power source, I like to use a standard 9 volt battery and replace the bulbs with 7.5 volt bulbs. All parts I need are found at my local Radio Shack.

Here is a link to a thread that has a basic wiring diagram for vintage lights that may help: http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/pach...-nishijin.html

Again, welcome to the forum!! Please post some pics of your machine, as they are always worth 1,000 words.

Thanks for the pics!! That is one beautiful machine!!

I did notice two issues on the back side... Your upper reward hopper is missing, and the weight that triggers your "Reward balls low" sensor is vertical, not horizontal as it should be. (See attached picture)

Both are easy fixes. Perhaps another member has a spare ball hopper you could use.

It also looks like you are missing a weight for the payout see-saw.(red arrow) It is usually for resetting the arm but it is odd how yours is already in the reset point with that missing. So you might have some other problems elsewhere.

Also before playing make sure the arm that the blue arrow points to is pushed up otherwise you don't get jackpots and you can jam the machine.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I own 2 of them 1 is missing the tray and the other one is so broken it needs to be replaced. I think the sankyo's are just easy targets.
