Smile Coins, Coins, Coins... in the handle...

Thought the shooting handle was a little sticky on a new find and took it apart...

Found three Japanese coins or tokens in there... one was bent!

I believe that players in the Parlours in Japan actually lodge coins into the shooter knobs to try and keep the position of the shooter and save their achey wrists when playing constantly

You often see Shooter knobs / handles with chewed / damaged edges, On my 'Horror Mansion' it is very noticeable

I'm guessing that's why you found coins slipped inside

Check where your overflow tray drain lever is. I have found yen in there as well.

Absolutely correct. We also use folded up, used pre-paid cards (aka PAQY cards) and pachinko balls in some of the older digital machines which had a space on the back of the knob.

By the way, those are one yen coins, so your treasure is the equivalent of US $.05
