looking for: Sammy Back to the Future Door Glass Replacement

Hi All,

Hoping someone can help find a source for a replacment Door Glass for a Sammy Pachinko (Back to the Future Machine to be exact) Glass was shattered by FedEx. I Can source out lots of other machines in Japan but can't find this one!? I did find a whole machine but doesn't pay to get it to part it out myself

Anyone either have a parts machine with glass left or a link to a shop in Japan? Or willing to let me borrow their door glass so that I can get a local glass shop to do the work for me?

Are both layers of glass broken? If only one layer and you can't find one, Maybe take the glass out in its frame, or take the front door off and take that to the glazer and see what they can do. It might be worth asking comatsu trading on here.

It wouldn't have to be from a Back to the Future machine. As long as it's from the same frame style it will fit. You should be able to find glass from a Fist of the Northstar in that frame pretty easy. Sammy made a ton of those.

I don't get it either, is there something special about this machine? I have not come across one modern or vintage that had anything special for the front door glass. Maybe he means the glass on the video screen? Anyhow, Ace Hardware will cut glass to size for a fee - about $20; I prefer to get plexi at Home Depot and cut it with my cheapo band saw... about $8 a piece

a lot of moderns have a shaped sealed double pane insert, without knowing how it is shaped it would be almost imposable to replace it on some machines.

It can be done by taking a large piece of butcher paper on the inside of the door and using a piece of chacoal rub along the outside of the glass frame to get a pattern of the glass shape to be custom cut to the pattern.Alot of picture frameing shops can cut glass also

Thanks, I thought I'd try getting OEM replacment but it sounds like it's just easier to get a new piece of glass cut... THX!

I had a piece of glass replaced in my Julie pachinko machine by a local glasier and it cost me about 150.00 about 4 years ago. They did a great job, but boy was I surprised at the cost.
