Yes Its OFFICALLY turned seasons! My Japanese Split Maple Has Turned Red!

When my Japanese Split Maple turns red I KNOW winter is on the way!
This has been my favorite kind of Tree ever since my father had a few on his property!
My current home has a HUGE one and it gets better EVERY year!

All the leaves have died and fallen off my maple But then it is red the rest of the year. The sweet chestnut tree has dropped all it's leaves at once in a big heap under the tree. All the oaks are starting to look a bit bare too.

I have 5 maple trees. it is my only chance in Florida to see leaves change colour. they turn red in the spring with the seeds and the new growth.

Japanese Split Leaf Maples are VERY different than regular maples. They are considered a small tree and can come in a variety of colors
including Green and Purple! They're leaves are very different too. The Japanese have specially breed these for a whole of years to get them
to their distinctive look.

I have two of these trees in my yard and they are by far my favorite! However, mine have already turned red and lost all of there leaves for the season. :

Thats a very pretty tree.The mountains here turn all colors of red and orange and yellow mixed with the green pines is awsome.The down side is the snow is coming and soon.The older I get the colder I get.The up side is I stay inside have a hot cup of coffee and play the pachis.
