    Default Pachinko Newbie from Texas C:

    Hello everyone! I'm a new collector/player of Pachinkos and hopefully Pachislos soon.

    I had known what it was, but I played my first game of pachinko at Anime Fest in Dallas, TX last year. I've learned now that it was the Evangelion 4 machine.

    This past AFest, I once again ran into the vendors and they had another Eva pachinko (6) and spent almost 200 bucks playing them haha. It was then I knew I had to get one, and they recommended "Custom Pachinko". After I showed my friend and roommate Michelle the machines, she gained an interest too and we bought our first machines together, mine being the CR Nadesico from Sankyo and hers the Eva 5 machine.

    She's now after the Macross machine, and I think I might get another one soon, but I'm really interested in getting an actual Pachislo (the virtual ones of Pokemon can't cut it anymore haha). However, I really do want to get my hands on the Cutie Honey pachinko one day, but I heard it's pretty hard to get one > n < Which is a shame, because I'm a huge collector of CH merchandise as it is haha.

    Anywho, it's nice to meet you all! Sorry about the life story, I tried to keep it short and sweet > n <

    Welcome
    from me and the girls

    I too have some CH cels I picked up the Cutie Honey pachinko last year direct from Japan. It has to be my favourite
    My standard new member advise. Get a daverob dongle especially if you are ever going to wall mount your machines. It re activates the parlour buttons on the front of the machine. Also unless you have thick walls or understanding neighbours. additional volume controls are a must. as the quiet setting is still too loud for some I don't know if custom pachinko fits them before they ship them out
    The newist Macross is awesome, But still too expensive to leave Japan yet

    Thank you all for the warm welcomes!! Sorry for the late reply, University is kicking my bum pretty hard and since next week is the finals, instead of studying for them (aka, sitting on the floor of the shower crying for 2+ hours), I decided to go around on the webs for a bit.

    @OwenNewton, I'm sure your collection does ;D I've only started recently, but I've spent enough to be proud of it. I sadly only have 2 cels of CH (one of Hurricane Honey, ep 5 of Shin/New, and one of Kisaragi Honey transforming from the CHFlash movie). I'd love to take pics, but it'll be awhile to get it all together atm. (i'd really like to see pictures of your collection, btw)

    @KimbaWLion, Go Nagai is the best! Other than Cutie Honey, I really like Getter Robo and Devilman as well ^^ (I kinda prefer the OVA Devilman to the 70's, even if it wasn't finished, and the Amon film doesn't count as finished haha) Also, to you and everyone who own a Cutie Honey pachinko/pachislo, you may have all my jealousies. Seriously. I thought I had gotten one earlier this week, but sadly it was already sold...orz

    @Drunkenclam, Thank you for the suggestions! We have knob volume controls on two of our machines (my Nadesico and my roommate's Evangelion 5) but we got her Macross machine in Tuesday, and it wasn't too bad after we put it on the low setting switch haha. I'm going to pretend our house has thick enough walls though; we play the machines sometimes when others are sleeping, but nobody seems to mind). You too can have some of my jealousy too for owning a Cutie Honey pachinko machine haha ; u ;
