I think the height of your machines depends on the height of your stools. I had my wife sit in one of our stools facing the wall and pretend to play a pachi. I measured her hand height from the floor and used that to determine the height/position of the ball launch knob. The pachis I mounted on the wall are the perfect height for everyone based on that formula.

Well the wood floor is back down execpt for a small section in front of the door, pachis not gone back in yet as I was waiting for some parts. These arrived on my birthday

Arrived are the spare parts for my lumina frame, (front glass and replacement shooter) I got the shooter from YJA and the glass came from these guys...

    http://www2.7-kasugai.co.jp/goods.php#op1

I did try comatsu trading, But they were unable to get the parts for me. And these guys had glass in stock.

Also arrived are the sankyo waste ball collection trays, with ball counter, These can be rebuilt so to drain on either the right or left. As compirate said in another thread, These trays are adjustable in 3 directions. Left/right Up/down Back/forward. the black box at the bottom is a counter. It has a magnet inside. Every 10 balls it passes over a reed switch completing a circuit.

Set of 5 switches to detect if the top tank is out of balls.

Set of 5 feed valves to feed the top tank. These weren't what I expected. I thought the black device in the middle is an electric operated valve to open and close when the switch says so. But these are the same counters as on the drain tank. I might connect all the switches to a digital counter so I can see the usage of each machine.
Does anyone have any thoughts, LCD or mechanical
What these valves do have is a spring loaded lever that will close if you open the door so no need to fit a stopper to the ball supply.
I might fit a solenoid to tell when to refill tank on switch request, either in the blue clip at the top or inside the counter to prevent the internal wheel from turning.
I though at 400en each (about £3.50) they were worth while.

All these parts are used and sourced through this site.

    http://www.pachinkodama.jp/item/list/index.cgi?id=7

As with most companies. Will not deal with anyone outside of Japan, so Juno ordered them and shipped to me in one box

Now I got these. I can work out my cabinets, as I'm moving from wall mounted to floor cabinets. Use a central psu for the machines, Just got to work out if to use a sliver ball lifter, or make a worm gear lift. But I want something that is quiet .

Maybe a long holiday weekend here, But haven't been resting.
Basic floor cabinets coming together. Bases done exept for doors to be fitted and ball return, Top sections still to cut a screw togther, But you get the idea

Still got 3 frames to fit somewhere, on the next wall. I will be making a list for the PSU box of things I need, Like high current 24vac transformer. 6vdc supply for in/out ball counters, possible 100vac supply for ball lifter, 24vac supply for accessories. All din rail mounted fuses, connectors etc.

Couldn't get much done today as had to look after Jr.
But stripped and cleaned the collector trays and reassembled, then got some more wood screwed into place. Still need to fit the ball feeds and collectors in place. Make mounting points for the machines, and get cabling sorted out too,

This weekends update. Dispite Clam juniors birthday and lots of nagging from the other half. Made a basic drilling template from a flat piece of metal. Drilled 10mm mounting points 10cm in from each end of the pachi and put a metal sleeve in the hole. Drilled a 9.5mm hole in the correct point of the pachi frame, Made esier by removing the pachi, In the hole fitted a 8mm threaded insert. Stick the frame in the cabinet and screw together using 8mm bolts. In theory, any pachi should fit in any slot in the cabinet.

Next prepped the sockets to supply the 24vac power for each machine. For those in the know, These are XLR speaker cable correctors, I used these as they are 3 pin, lock together and are rated at 16A I wanted 3 pin beacuse I wanted to make sure the earth/ground was connected too.

Still haven't worked out how I'm going to feed each machine valve, or get the balls lifter back to the top,
But I do want it to be quiet lift, Thats why I'm staying away from getting a silver lifter at the moment.

I know the orange ones are not particularly quiet...is the silver one noisier than orange one? I don't think I have even seen a silver one...must be less common.

Silver is the brand name, some of the orange ones were labelled as silver (katakana) in the side castings.

Update time. Sorry about its been so long and poor iphone pics, But time is not something I have a lot of at the moment.

The plastic container has been modified to fit under the machines. Reinforced with wood, With a hole cut out to the ball lifter.
Only got 2 out of 3 tubes from the machines to the tank, and not secured yet. no wiring done yet, and no feed above the machine.

I was looking at the switches I have on the ball valves and the low level switch. The low lever switch is fine and is normally open. But so is the switch on the ball valve. I need this to be normally closed but it doesn't have the option. I'll have to change the switch for a different kind. I want the ball valve switch to work, so the ball lift can't start if the machine is opened up.

Not much to report but these turned up along with the Sankyo battle counter connectors this week

A 1/4 scale figure of Yuki Nagato and a 1/8 scale figure of Tamaki Kousaka and Lucy Maria Misora from ToHeart2

The cost of the ToHeart2 slo has really come down in price. With BIN prices as low as 45,000yen. That is half it was a few months ago.
I might try to get one when they hit 20,000 yen

Update time again. More bad iphone pics again

Got the data counters up and fitted with leads in place, just waiting for the frame connectors to turn up from Japan.
Tubing in place for the refill tubes and wiring in for the lifter switches. Will tidy up and glue everything when any bugs are ironed out.

Wiring for the lifter for those interested. I left the low level pad connected and just left it on the bottom shelf. I disconnected the door open switch as it was already falling apart.
Connected a 3 position On/Off/On switch with one side wired back to the lifter and the other side off to the machine hoppers.

I had to replace the micro switches on the ball feeders as I needed a normally closed switch and the ones that come with it are normally open. The theory behind the wiring is, When the ball tank get low the level switch closes and the ball lifter starts. But if the machine is open, The switch on the ball feeder is then open, So the start signal doesn't reach the lifter.

    basic wiring diagram included

The battle counters all mounted. In preperation I marked the terminals with paint. I'm using the same colours as i did when I fitted one to the Star Wars I sold and the counters for RyanTiger.
I also marked the connectors on the back of Starwars with the same paint colours.

    Yellow - Start
    Silver - Fever
    Black - High probability

If anyone else wants to do the same, I can really advise it, Also if people use the same colour scheme It might make everyones life easier in the long run. Espeically those who don't read Japanese

Time for another update, Whilst Mrs Clam and Jr have been away, I took some time off work to get busy at home.

I moved the 3 block cabinet to the adjacent wall, and put together a 4 block cabinet using mostly the same parts as before. This holds 4 machines and the daito ball dispenser in the middle.
As per the first block cabinet, I remade my template and drill the holes for mounting the remaining machines,

    Template

Bolted all the machines in, and wired up some tranformers and away we go

Whilst all this has been going on inside, we have been replacing the roof, Taking off all the old felt, replacing the roof joists, installing some additional joists and noggins. New timber sheets on top, felt underlay, followed by canadian shingles

    That is almost finished too

I still need to get some more data counters for this block and some more waste ball trays and ball feed valves. But I can get them from the same source as before.

Then getting 2 or 3 lifters to work it all

Pachi envy??? I'm suffering from Spousal envy... If I put that much time and resources in my pachi hobby I'd be divorced. Oh wait...I am divorced...and that was before I got my first machine. I guess it wouldn't have made a difference then. The next Mrs. Opus is gonna have to like pachinko though. However with my pachinko machines and lego star wars, I think i'm weeding the spousal pool kind of thin...
