I have a Smart Cell Phone . I don't have it on unless I'm on the road and need contact to my destination or call for help . Also I only pay $20.00 USD every 90 Days with Virgin Mobile

i've had the pleasure of taking a 36000 Euro / Mobile phone bill to my boss..

Not mine but from one of the ships..

lets just say it took a while for him to regain his composure..

Why a mobile company would ever think it's services are THAT valuable is beyond me. The phone companies here have just announced that they all will be implementing programs that warn customers when they are approaching their limits. Some already do, but now all will as the government has threatened involvement if the companies don't take care of this issue on their own. I recently got a smartphone with a limited plan since I don't use my phone for much internet use... the first month I got a text that I was reaching my limit, I was shocked since I didn't think I used very much of my allotment at all. I then found out that I can connect my phone through my in home wireless and that usage is unlimited, and that is what I do now.

I am still shocked by my cell bill every month and curse it... but cells are a must have if you have teens and I have just resigned myself to this outrageous expense.

What i've found in my experience with dealing with the Mobile phone companies, is that even when they issue these over inflated bills, they are very willing to negotiate a discount.
so it just goes to show that they are making a killing with over inflated roaming charges.. and they then look like the good guys when they tell you it isn't us its the mobile company in the other country.. But don't worry we will fix it for you..
